Married In Ohio

California Girl and I attended homecoming at our college alma matter a couple of weeks ago and spent the night at a luxurious hotel. We gave a preview of some of the pictures for HNT - 162 and HNT - 163. The full set of 20 photographs is available here. We think that they are worth the wait.

It’s been a very hectic few weeks for California Girl and I. We haven’t had time to do much of anything. So it’s been quite enjoyable when we’ve found the time to relax and do nothing. Here’s a photograph from one of those times.

One of the nice things about The Boy being away at college is that when The Girl is at soccer practice or out with her friends we have the house to ourselves. When I got home from my late afternoon run to ease the stress of a long day of work, California Girl suggested that we make the most of the empty house. So, we spent some time being more relaxed in the living room than usual. Here are a few pictures showing how relaxed we were.

As Labor Day fast approaches, California Girl has a good tan from the time that we have spent in the pool. With all that has been going on, we haven’t been able to spend as much time in the pool as we would like; but she’s still got some nice tan lines. So, we thought that we would show her sitting in the living room showing her late summer tan. Long time readers will remember the comforter from when it used to be in the bedroom. Enjoy. We mentioned last Tuesday that California Girl and I once again have matching wristwatches. They are “fancy”, at least for us, as watches go. Even though we only got them recently, we actually consider them anniversary gifts. Of all of the his and hers sets we have had we like them the best. They remind us of each other and our marriage and of how big a milestone 20 years is.

Our plan for today was to take a few photographs of us both together in a non-sexual pose. We enjoy our NSFW posts; but our favorites are usually “tamer”. We also decided to post a candid photograph I took of California Girl waiting for me to set up the camera. As is usually the case for us, un-posed pictures usually turn out the best.

Here is the photograph that we planned on taking. You can see the new watches as well as California Girl’s rings. Hopefully it conveys the sense of togetherness that we feel.

Here is a photograph of how our session ended. Most All of our photo sessions end this way which his one of the reason we have them. California Girl has quite a tan line.

Update: For once it was warm and sunny (and we didn’t have too much to do) so we finally got outside for our HNT photos!

California Girl says she was out in the sun a bit too much this past weekend; but I thought that the weather, especially on Saturday was glorious. Unlike on Sunday when it rained and we went inside, we were in the pool for around three hours. Nothing beats being in the pool on a great summer day with your very significant significant other. She thinks that she looks a little more tan and a little sunburned. What do you guys think?

And despite my reservations, the matching wristwatch I special ordered came in. So, we were only “mismatched” for a week or so. You can see how we’re once again his and hers in the second photograph. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that California Girl’s watch battery died and the replacement needed to be special ordered from Seiko. We decided to look for new witches instead which is a good thing because, even though the hands have stopped moving, the date still advances. So, it’s working perfectly if you only need to know the date and not the time.

After some research, we found a set of his and hers watches that we both really, really liked. They were a bit more expensive than we had planned but, even though it’s kind of sappy, we’ve always had matching watches. The local dealer did not have the men’s model in stock but the ladies model was available. Since she really needed a new watch we decided to take a chance and purchase women’s model and have them order the matching men’s version. Hopefully the order will not be canceled and leave us stuck with half of a matched set.

California Girl is not as fond of shiny new toys as I am; but she thought it would be fun to show it off. So here are a couple of pictures of her wearing her new time piece. I think she looks great with or without her new wristwatch. I especially like her tan lines. You can really see how miss matched my old watch is to her new one in we are in the second picture. Even so, I think we make a great pair. We hope you like California Girl and her new jewelry. Click ‘em to big ‘em.

HNT was suspended for a week.
I finished a major milestone on a project I was doing at work so I came home early and made a movie to celebrate. It’s funny how sex helps us celebrate our victories and drown our sorrows.

February
Celebrated the two year anniversary of Married In Ohio.
The Boy’s wrestling team won the league championship. The Girl scored a hat trick (three goals) in soccer for the first time in years. California Girl and I really enjoy kids that are good athletes and good students.

March
Got a new car. Discovered it was good for other things besides transportation.
Posted our first and only book review.

April
Watched one of the darkest days unfold on a college campus in recent memory.
Got out and about (for sex) for the first time in the new vehicle.

May
Had some fun both inside and outside of the car.

June
More sex in the great outdoors.

Married In Ohio was offline for four days while we were on vacation and enjoying life in the 3-D world.
Went over 1,000,000 visitors.

July
California Girl started completely shaving her pubic hair.

We were able to get in the pool and relax over the long Fourth of July Weekend.

August
It really started to sink in how The Boy’s final year in high school is a series of highs and lows.

Watched The Boy win some iron in cross country as well as run his final cross country race.

Didn’t have sex under the Christmas tree this year but had a wonderful substitute.

Made a digital photo frame (Flash slide show) of many of the year’s Two for Tuesday photographs.

We got my mom a digital photo frame for Christmas and loaded it up with photographs of the kids through the years. It took quite a while to pick out all of the photographs but she really liked the finished product and so did we. In fact, I saved all of the selections so that I can make a DVD later.

I thought that it might be cool to do the same thing here since there’s not going to be a Two for Tuesday this week. So, I made a Flash movie of the pictures we have used for TFT throughout the year. I usually create .WMVs; but SWF seemed to be a better format for a slide show. Please let me know what you think. This is my first attempt at a flash movie.

Update: Since the movie is a .SWF, I embedded a Flash-based video player to make it easier or users to control. It saves band with too. Let me know what you think of it. I’m considering using the player on “regular” videos if it doesn’t have any glitches.

California Girl and I did not have our regularly scheduled Tuesday night photo session, so we’re posting some pictures from our Wednesday morning photo sesson instead. (I love being on vacation.) It’s been cold and snowy here; but the sun finally came out today. So,we got the opportunity to open the blinds and enjoy a pretty good morning. We don’t have very many sunny days this time of year. And even fewer occur when we don’t have much of anything to do and can really enjoy them. Anyway, here are a few photographs from this morning. We hope that there will be more days like this one.
