As you know, today is the last day for Half Nekkid Thursday. Today is our 330th and final post. California Girl and I have thoroughly enjoyed participating as posters and as followers. We want to give our heartfelt thanks to Osbasso for organizing and running it for almost seven years. That is a monumental achievement. California Girl and I wondered how to best commemorate our final HNT. We thought about taking photographs in a variety of places; but nothing seemed worthy. Ultimately, we decided that the best tribute would be to highlight our HNT photos over the years. For the finale, we created a Flash movie of all of our primary HNT photos. The picture changes faster than normal so it’s not too long.

We’ve also included a Flash movie of all of our alternate HNT photos. It’s slightly longer than the first movie; but, together they contain every still photograph that we’ve ever posted for Half Nekkid Thursday.

Two For Tuesday – 271

It’s become something of a tradition (except when we forget) to post a Flash movie of all the pictures we used for the previous year’s Two For Tuesdays in our first Two For Tuesday post of the new year. We originally posted a Digital Photo Frame with all of the photographs from the year’s TFT posts for our last post in December; but decided it worked better if we did it in January. It takes a long time to compile our “Year In Review” post which we also post the first week of the year, so it’s nice to have something which doesn’t require any editing to balance things. So here is a Flash movie of all of the pictures we used in 2010 in our Two For Tuesday posts. We’ve started transitioning to the FLV format instead of Windows Media; but plan to continue using the SWF format for slide shows.

Two For Tuesday – 219

If you have been following us for awhile, you may remember that we posted a Digital Photo Frame with all of the photographs from the year’s TFT posts in December of 2007. We didn’t get around to it for 2008 until last July. We probably should have done this last week for the last Two For Tuesday of 2009; but, since California Girl’s Amazon Kindle is since such a cool gadget, we posted photographs of us with it instead. Here is a Flash movie of all of the pictures we used last year for Two For Tuesday. We usually post .WMVs; but SWF format worked well the first two times we did this. The file is smaller and (almost) everyone can play it.

2009 A Year In Review

January
Did a lot of tinkering with the number of posts on the front page to speed up page load times. Finally I wrote a plugin that shows all posts published in the last seven days on the home page.
Created and published our favorite HNT photo post of the year.

February
Got California Girl a nice skirt and blouse set for her birthday.

Neglected to mention that Married In Ohio celebrated its fourth anniversary.
Survived one of those good news, bad news situations where the “good news” was that the bad news wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

March
Went over 2,000,000 Visitors which is a lot for us.
Created and published one of our favorite Two For Tuesday photo posts of the year.

April
Created and published our favorite HNT video post of the year.
Updated our theme to support threaded comments.
Posted a true click through HNT.

May
Posted our version of Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater on the Titanic.

Celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary by going to dinner at our favorite restaurant.

June
Reminisced about the days that we used to watch us having sex in the mirror.

Had some good pool weather for one of the few times this past summer.

July
Posted a video edition of our Independence Day Sex series.

The Girl passed her driver examination and got her driver’s license.
I weighed 164 pounds on the scale at the doctor’s office.

September
Repaired the car that The Girl drives after it dropped dead and smoke started coming form underneath the hood.
Visited a college with The Girl. Realized how close we are to becoming “empty nesters”.

October
Had a LOT of problems after upgrading our server to PHP 5.3. The upgrade also broke our OpenId sever too.
Started working on the project from hell at work. It’s still radioactive.

November
Added a visitor map to the blog that showed where their visitors were from. Check it out in the sidebar just below the local weather.
Took some fun photos of California Girl changing one of the spotlights in the kitchen

Posted one of my one of my favorite photographs of California Girl for the week of Thanksgiving’s HNT.

December
Published an illustrated post explaining our “bedcam”setup”.

Got a new HDTV to replace our old one which started smoking and had a burning electrical smell.
Created and published the fourth edition of our Christmas Vacation Sexseries.

Two For Tuesday – 193

Longtime readers may recall that we posted a Digital Photo Frame with all of the photographs from the year’s TFT posts in December of 2007. We had intended to do the same thing at the end of 2008 but were so busy enjoying The Boy being home from college and the rest of our Christmas vacation activities that we didn’t get to it. Since the beginning of July is the midpoint of the year and we were on our summer vacation it seemed like an appropriate time to create the 2008 version. So here is a Flash movie of the pictures we used last year for Two For Tuesday. We usually post .WMVs; but SWF format worked well when we did this before. And everyone should be able to play it without any problems.

Unlike the .WMVs which we post that you have to click on and open in a separate window, I embedded a Flash-based video player since it only loads the movie when you press play. I can do the same thing for .WMVs but embedding Windows Media Player eats TONS of bandwidth since it always downloads the movie even if you never play it. And Silverlight Media Player is not cross browser/cross platform friendly.

P.S. I am using an older version of JW Player since I was unsure about the licensing of his new player. It’s working perfectly for us even in Firefox 3.5. Please let us know if you encounter any errors.

Behind The Door

Guest_6737 asked in the shoutbox “You mentioned a swing club…can you tell us more of how this works and the actual dynamics of once inside the door”. We were going to answer this last weekend but were unable to post (or really do much of anything) without any electricity. What happens is different at every club and for every couple. Please keep in mind that this post is our perspective, and that we’ not professionally reviewers.

Firstly, I should mention that California Girl and I are more exhibitionists than swingers. We go to swing clubs to see and be seen; rather than engage in hard core sex with other couples. For us, it’s really about the ambience. Generally speaking, people are friendly and outgoing; although there are always some “wallflowers”. The dress ranges from casual to outfits that are too risqué for a club. As the evening goes on and people have been the rooms, you’re likely to see people who haven’t gotten back into all of their clothes. Like any regular party, there’s food, drink (strictly BYOB), music and dancing. Sometimes, there are games and contests to help break the ice; but, if not, the regulars do a pretty good job of it. Everyone is there to try and have a good time. People tend to circulate until they find someone interesting.

There is usually a donation at the door to help defray costs (the suggested amount varies depending on how elaborate of an evening is planned.) It may be different in other clubs; but we see people of all shapes, sizes, ages and colors. It’s a great atmosphere to put you in the mood and see what develops. But, you don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to do or makes you feel uncomfortable. Some people are comfortable getting started in the common areas; while others prefer the private rooms. We think it’s fun to have an audience so long as they don’t become too involved. People are usually polite; however, like anytime a large group of people get together there are going to be exceptions. If you’re really curious, we recommend that you visit a few clubs nearby. They’re more places than you think, even if you live in a conservative area.
