Married In Ohio

Even though we were not doing very much anything in the world of blogging last week, we did have our regular Tuesday photo session. Not necessarily to post; but because it’s something that we like doing for ourselves. Now that we have discontinued our hiatus, I thought I would post a favorite picture from last week just as a way of saying that we are back. Like all of my favorites, It’s of California Girl by herself; and its only slightly NSFW. Enjoy.

I spoke too soon. I thought that California Girl and I would be able to continue the outdoor photo sessions that we started last week. Unfortunately, I did not take The Girl’s soccer schedule into account. She’s had practice or a game every day this week (including Tuesday). It’s been too dark to do much of anything by the time that we get home so we’re back in the bedroom.Here are a couple of our favorites from this evening.

I never tire of California Girl on the bed waiting for me. I especially like her shaved pubic hair. Does anyone go natural (as opposed to trimmed or completely shaved)?

I just like this picture. I’m thinking of using it as a Gravatar. You can tell what we are doing but you really can’t see anything.

We had to pay a lot in taxes. I hope your day was better than ours.

It’s 34°F with a wind chill of 27°F so we are still inside. It was “warm” on Monday; but it didn’t last very long. So, unfortunately, we’re still inside. I did not know that a return to the cold weather was forecast so I was already scouting for good outdoor locations. Needless to say, I was disappointed when I went running this afternoon and realized how cold it was. It doesn’t seem like the winter will ever end.

For today, we are just posting a single picture, a bodyscape of California Girl. We usually post at least two photographs, that is the point of Two For Tuesday; but, even though I like being in the picture, sometimes I distract from California Girl’s beautiful form.

California Girl and I have been wondering if we should change the name of this series since, for the past month or so, we’ve been taking having our weekly photo session on Monday rather than Tuesday. We’ve been doing it for over two years now and it’s become something of a tradition for us. The main reason that we like it is that we take new pictures every week. We always make a point of stopping whatever else we are doing and taking some time for ourselves. It’s easy to get caught up in life, especially when you are as busy as we are, so the structure of a scheduled photo session makes it easier for us to take a break and forget about life for awhile. Anyway, our theme for today is “two for Monday”. Click ‘em to big ‘em.

So, do you think we should change the name of the series and start posting on Monday night?

Today is the three year anniversary of Married in Ohio so our theme for today is “three for Tuesday”. It’s not as big as our wedding anniversary (obviously); but we’re happy to still be blogging. Whether you have been visiting for a while or just stared visiting recently, we like to thank you for keeping us going. And special thanks if you are one of the people who have been reading us from the beginning. Here are a few pictures of California Girl and me not doing anything in particular as we celebrate our bloggerversary. Enjoy.

I know that we have done it before; but, since today is Mardi Gras, our theme for today is beads and boobs. Fat Tuesday has always been one of my favorite themed holidays despite being in the winter. Unfortunately, I had a previous commitment and we were unable to attend our local Mardi Gras celebration. We’ll try and attend a Pimps and Hos party sometime soon to make up for it. The bitter cold days have continued. It gets like this every year; but that doesn’t mean that we like it any better. One of the things that cheer us up is when the next edition of the Venus swimwear catalog arrives in the mail. It’s fun to look at and pick out some swim suits that we think California Girl would look good in. Our pool looks like an ice skating rink and summer is still many months off; but picking out new bikinis for the summer makes it seem not quite as far off. So our theme for today is “swim 2008 selection”. We’ll be sure to feature California Girl modeling the new suits when they arrive.

HNT was suspended for a week.
I finished a major milestone on a project I was doing at work so I came home early and made a movie to celebrate. It’s funny how sex helps us celebrate our victories and drown our sorrows.

February
Celebrated the two year anniversary of Married In Ohio.
The Boy’s wrestling team won the league championship. The Girl scored a hat trick (three goals) in soccer for the first time in years. California Girl and I really enjoy kids that are good athletes and good students.

March
Got a new car. Discovered it was good for other things besides transportation.
Posted our first and only book review.

April
Watched one of the darkest days unfold on a college campus in recent memory.
Got out and about (for sex) for the first time in the new vehicle.

May
Had some fun both inside and outside of the car.

June
More sex in the great outdoors.

Married In Ohio was offline for four days while we were on vacation and enjoying life in the 3-D world.
Went over 1,000,000 visitors.

July
California Girl started completely shaving her pubic hair.

We were able to get in the pool and relax over the long Fourth of July Weekend.

August
It really started to sink in how The Boy’s final year in high school is a series of highs and lows.

Had a reason to do the Snoopy dance.

October
Watched The Boy win some iron in cross country as well as run his final cross country race.
Changed to an even shorter hairstyle.

Sparked quite a bit of discussion in comments and emails with our Have We Thought… post.
Posted our first higher quality video.

December

Didn’t have sex under the Christmas tree this year but had a wonderful substitute.

Made a digital photo frame (Flash slide show) of many of the year’s Two for Tuesday photographs.

We got my mom a digital photo frame for Christmas and loaded it up with photographs of the kids through the years. It took quite a while to pick out all of the photographs but she really liked the finished product and so did we. In fact, I saved all of the selections so that I can make a DVD later.

I thought that it might be cool to do the same thing here since there’s not going to be a Two for Tuesday this week. So, I made a Flash movie of the pictures we have used for TFT throughout the year. I usually create .WMVs; but SWF seemed to be a better format for a slide show. Please let me know what you think. This is my first attempt at a flash movie.

Update: Since the movie is a .SWF, I embedded a Flash-based video player to make it easier or users to control. It saves band with too. Let me know what you think of it. I’m considering using the player on “regular” videos if it doesn’t have any glitches.

Osbasso requested that everyone pick three HNT/blogger participants, but only three. And then tell the world what you’d get them for Christmas, if you had the means to do so. Since we also did the same thing last year we’re going to pick three new people. Not because we didn’t like last years choices; but to spread the “imaginary” wealth. We’ll leave a comment or send an email to everyone tomorrow to make sure that they see their gifts.

Alfie: You and Emma seem to be really enjoying your retirement, except there seem to be too many sex free zones for one reason or another. So, I would give you a small placard that could turn anywhere you hang it into a sex required zone.

Chickie: I wouldn’t give you anything. Instead I’d give the COAEW a clue or two, so that your life would be a lot more peaceful. And, for good measure, I’d give her a remote off button that only you control so you wouldn’t have to interact with her unless you wanted to.

Private: I’m not going to mention your web addresses but you are not forgotten. Over the years, many of you have had to take your blogs private or even stop blogging completely. I understand the reason’s why; but you’ve given so much to the blogging community that I really wish it was not so. So I’d give you a public blog that automatically stops whoever you don’t want from visiting; but lets in everyone else. That way, you could have the best of both worlds.
