We used a high camera angle for our last photo session so we decided to use a low one this week. We think the picture that we selected turned out pretty good. Lake most of favorite HNT photos it’s risqué; but not super explicit. What do you think?

California Girl and I were reminiscing about the early days of HNT, so we decided to get out our old camera out of the closet and re-enact one of our first HNT photographs. Compared to the modern ones we use today, our old camera seems very primitive. Then one feature that we miss was the flip-out viewfinder which made it very easy to take self-portraits for HNT. Anyway, here’s a voyeuristic viewpoint what our photo session were like in the “old days” of HNT. We’ve certainly come a long way.

We were going to do something different for today’s post; but, as soon as we looked at it, we thought this picture of California Girl was an “instant classic” so we decided to post it instead. We like our totally NSFW photos; but, much like the photo we posted last week, this is one of our favorites. It’s really neat to have such a photogenic wife.

Two For Tuesday – 273

Believe it or not; but, after the internet problems we had last week, the power went out on Tuesday shortly after I got home from work. Of course, since no one would put up with an electric utility with service as bad as our local cable operator, power was restored before it got to late in the evening. So, once again, California Girl is behind in her work; although by not nearly as much as she was last week. Anyway, while were stuck in the dark, the only thing to do was sit by a candle and wait for the electricity to come back on. So here is a photo of California Girl by candlelight. If you look closely, you can see the glow from her phone.

Two For Tuesday – 271

It’s become something of a tradition (except when we forget) to post a Flash movie of all the pictures we used for the previous year’s Two For Tuesdays in our first Two For Tuesday post of the new year. We originally posted a Digital Photo Frame with all of the photographs from the year’s TFT posts for our last post in December; but decided it worked better if we did it in January. It takes a long time to compile our “Year In Review” post which we also post the first week of the year, so it’s nice to have something which doesn’t require any editing to balance things. So here is a Flash movie of all of the pictures we used in 2010 in our Two For Tuesday posts. We’ve started transitioning to the FLV format instead of Windows Media; but plan to continue using the SWF format for slide shows.

2010 A Year In Review

January
Had an occasion to do the Snoopy Dance because of something that happened at work.
Took a cool photograph of California Girl with the flowers she received at The Girl’s last senior night.

We reviewed the proofs of The Girl’s senior photographs and made our selections. It was a bit discomforting how rapidly her high school days were winding down.

February
Commemorated the fifth anniversary of MarriedInOhio.Com.
MarriedInOhio.Com went over 2,500,000 visitors.
Took some neat photographs for Two For Tuesday and Half Nekkid Thursday in the aftermath of a huge snowstorm we had.

March
The Girl had an epiphany and decided where she wanted to attend college. It hadn’t really started to sink in how different things were going to be without any kids around.
Decided to see if I could hold up a hat with no hands for Two For Tuesday.

Worked on a special project for California Girl that kept me busy in the evenings. We still found time for our weekly photo session.

April
Changed the image in the “About Us” area of our sidebar. We haven’t changed much wanted to create a new one since the photograph was many years old. We posted the candidates that we were considering for Half Nekkid Thursday.

Went on a 900 mile round road trip with The Girl for an out of state soccer tournament. Then two weeks later, watched The Girl win the last trophy of her club soccer career.

May
Celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. Went out to eat at our favorite restaurant. Posted a photo from our anniversary dinner for Two For Tuesday.

The Girl graduated high school. Then the next day, she registered for classes in the fall and got her college ID.
Got a new camera. Took nekkid photographs of ourselves to test it out.

June
Wore boxing gloves in one of our more interesting Two For Tuesday posts.
The swimming pool is still where we retreat when things aren’t going as well as we would like in the real world.
For Half Nekkid Thursday we did a documentary of our bedcam setup.

July
Created and published our favorite HNT photo post of the year.
Practiced being empty nesters. Posted a NSFW tour of our home for Two For Tuesday culminating with a grand finale in the study for Half Nekkid Thursday.

Photographed and posted a lot of pictures of California Girl in a bikini showing her summer tan lines for Two For Tuesday and HNT.

August
Finally got an Android smartphone. California Girl got a Droid too. We should have upgraded years ago!
Installed a special, mobile friendly theme for Androids and iPhones.
Took both kids to school and officially became empty nesters. Posted about our first pizza night without kids for Two For Tuesday.

September
Posted some cool sexting photographs for Half Nekkid Thursday.

Watched The Girl play soccer at the next level in college. We’re not in Kansan any more, they play rough.
Got another new camera. Again took some NSFW photographs of ourselves to test it.

October
Discovered that I still own a hairbrush despite not needing to use one in years.
Went to Florida for vacation. Posted some photos from our trip for Two For Tuesday and Half Nekkid Thursday.

Added a new hard drive to the server. The old one was getting filled up since we have posted so many pictures over the years.

November
Took another “instant favorite” photograph of California Girl.
California Girl changed the color of her hair. Heather was the first person to notice.

Decorated the Christmas tree on the Saturday after Thanksgiving now that both kids are in school. Posted a NSFW Christmas card style photo for Two For Tuesday.

December
Made an animated slide show of some of our recent photographs using JavaScript.

Created our and posted first high definition video for Two For Tuesday. It was also our first movie in FLV format.

MarriedInOhio.Com went over 3,000,000 visitors, a milestone we noted in our Christmas Wish Half Nekkid Thursday post. It’s definitely not 2005 anymore so we removed our hit counter widget.

Two For Tuesday – 268

It took longer than expected to find an artistic effect that we liked that also worked well with un-retouched elements from the photograph. We generally prefer our photos to be “original” without much editing; but we couldn’t think of another way to show how our new eyeglasses look. We both get a new pair every few years; but these are the best ones that that we have had in a long, long time for both looks and vision. (I think that these are the best looking frames that California Girl has had for as long as I’ve known her.) They were kinda pricy; but, since we can’t do anything without our glasses, it was nice to get some frames that made us feel good about ourselves rather than dreading every moment that we are wearing them. Of course, for us, the lenses cost a LOT more than the frames.

Two For Tuesday – 267

Since we have not created one in a while, we were going to post a slide show for today. We like the slide shows that we have done previously; but thought that it would be neat to have the pictures enlarge when you clicked on them similar to the way that the other photos on the blog do. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to find or write the necessary JavaScript for self-hosted photos. So instead we’re posting a preview of the upcoming slide show. I’ll try to find the necessary code when I get home for work so that we can use it in our upcoming Half Nekkid Thursday post.

The U.S. managed to win their group in the World Cup despite being robbed of not one but TWO goals by poor officiating. It’s amazing that they have a competition for the best soccer team in the world with what are obviously not the best officials. I know that they’re looking for unbiased officials; but what good are they if they can’t keep up with the best players in the world? Anyway, since we were busy watching the World Cup, we didn’t have time to do anything special for today. So here is a continuation of our open window theme taken from a different perspective.

Two For Tuesday – 240

I mentioned last week that I’ve started attending an evening boxing class with The Girl on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Although I’m the only one that has to get up the next day since California Girl works from home and school’s out for the summer for both kids, it is starting to get late by the time I get home and get cleaned up so we’ve decided to reschedule our weekly photo session to Wednesday. Everyone (but me) can sleep in on Thursday so it’s OK if we eat later. (We still have pizza for dinner on Tuesday.) Anyway, since we’ve got two pair of boxing gloves we thought they would be good to use in a photo session. We think both of these photos were fun, don’t you?
