The kids, especially The Boy, have been very busy with their sports and other activities this spring. So busy, in fact that when they do have free time, all they want to do is stay home and unwind. As a result, it has been a long time since they were both away at the same time and California Girl and I have had the house all to ourselves. We really needed some time away by ourselves since we have not been home alone recently. We finally had some time this weekend. Sort of. We spent Saturday night at a nice hotel in downtown Cincinnati. The only problem was that we had to get up and run a road race on Sunday.

California Girl and I have what is becoming a long standing tradition of running in the Cincinnati Flying Pig Half-Marathon. Some years, the weather has been miserable but this year the weather was just about perfect. In fact, the whole weekend was perfect. For once, the girl was not playing soccer on Saturday so we arrived in plenty of time to check in to our hotel and go over to the expo to pick up our packets. It was warm so we went everywhere on foot. There was an hour and a half wait at the restaurant that we wanted to eat at so we went back to the room and had some fabulous sex. The balcony to our room overlooked the atrium so it’s a good thing that there was a band playing in the restaurant. Afterwards, we lounged around the room for a bit and went to eat dinner.

On Sunday, we got up, ran a half-marathon, went back to the room, showered up, and had more fantastic sex. It was time to get up and check-out almost before we knew it. I don’t want to minimize the race. 13.1 miles is a long way. But the weekend is as much about going away and doing something together as it is about running. We can run in a race anytime. But getting away from it all is much more elusive. We were away less than 24 hours (including the time that we were running) but it was still very rejuvenating. With the kids as busy as they are, the logistics of getting away for a weekend are almost impossible. We’ve been able to do it every year as “planned” but we never know until the last minute if we’re going to be able to make things work or not.

It’s things like this that renew us as a couple. Time away coupled with competition and liberal doses of sex is the perfect counterbalance to the hectic pace of our springtime lifestyle. Walking around Fountain Square on a warm spring night. Eating a quiet dinner while we talk about “adult things”. Crossing the finish line side by side after a good run. It’s no wonder that we put the queen size bed in our hotel room to good use. Our only regret is that we can’t have more weekends like this. But the uncommonness is probably what makes it so special.

P.S. For those long time readers who remember what happened last year: Yes, I remember my running shorts.

Questions From Hot Husband and Hot Wife

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

Hot Husband and Hot Wife asked if anyone would like to be interviewed with real questions so California Girl and I volunteered. Here are our answers to their questions:

What have you learned between now and when you had your first child? A lot. lol. 1) Kids are a lot more complicated than you first think. Small babies are a lot of work; but older children (pre-teens and teenagers) need as much or more attention. 2) It’s important to schedule time to spend with each other; otherwise, the kids just suck up all available time. It’s not enough to expect that quality time together will just happen; you have to plan for it. 3) The time goes very quickly. It’s hard to believe that both our kids are in high school. It seems like just yesterday when they were learning how to walk and talk.

Hot wife and I are going to be in your town for a night. We talk and decide to hang out. What would we do? Hopefully it will be summer and warm. First we’d put on some CDs/MP3s on the stereo and turn on the outside speakers. Then we’d grab some beer, head outside and lounge around on the deck and in the pool. Hot wife could borrow one of California Girl’s bikinis if she didn’t bring a swimsuit. It wound be even better if it was too small. ;) I’ve got extra swim trunks too. Once the sun went down, we’d shower, get changed and head out to a nice dinner at our favorite steakhouse. After a nice meal, it would be time to head to the club to drink, dance and shoot some pool. We’d see where the evening takes us after that.

Do you kiss immediately after, or wash up first? Presumably, you mean after sex. We kiss and cuddle. Neither of us has ever been a big fan of jumping up to get washed even if we have one of those sessions where the bed ends up being soaked in sweat. Sex doesn’t make us feel dirty, even if we do something “taboo” like anal. To us, it seems unnatural to go down on each other, and then rush to the bathroom like our naughty bits are contaminated.

Hot wife and I are filthy rich. We would like to give a sizeable donation to a charity and ask for your help in picking one. Which one would you pick? Habitat For Humanity. We like the way that recipients of their gifts/loans have to do something (help out with other houses) rather than just be in need.

You’ve been blogging for over 2 years now. Most blogs don’t last anywhere near that long. What do you think the secret is to keeping it going this whole time? We blog about what’s real to us. That way, it never seems like a chore. Unlike a lot of others, our blog is a shared endeavor, so it pulls us together as opposed to being a distraction. For example, California Girl loves our Tuesday photo shoots. Our photo sessions are something that we both look forward too. In a way, it’s almost like a date night. Plus, even if our photographs are similar to some that we have posted before, they are always new to us since we always take new pictures for each weeks HNT post. Sex is never a rerun. ;)

Surely you have run into some rather strange people with this blog. What do you think the strangest encounter with someone on the internet was? 1) The haters who make fun of our blog, and similar ones. It’s sad but there are sites out there whose sole purpose is to ridicule other bloggers. And, we’ve been featured on more than one. I’ve never thought that it was new and interesting to make fun of people and never post anything original; but someone must since the haters usually have a fair number of commenters on each post. And 2) The people who proposition California Girl, or me or both of us right out of the blue. We’re pretty adventurous, having done things in the recent past like having sex with spectators/helpers present; but, even if we were looking for an “extra”, it would never be with someone that we didn’t know and hadn’t chatted with for a while.

I would also like to say that we’ve met some people in real life that we first encountered on this blog. And, while it seemed a bit weird at first, the conversation was all relatively normal. It’s a strange feeling meeting someone for the first time that has already seen photos and videos, and read blow by blow narration of what you do in the bedroom. Two groups of people come to mind.

I’m thinking of a number between 10 and 100. Both numbers are even, and the second number is double the first. What number is it? 24 or 48 are both possibilities. I think 24 since it’s the number of hours in a day. And the name of a popular television show.

Chinese food or Italian? Italian. I (MCB) don’t like Chinese food at all. I eat it about once a month or so when I go out to lunch with people from work; but I would never, ever get it if I’m alone or if it’s just the two of us. American is our favorite cuisine.

You’re at home. You get a call from your kid’s friend’s parents, and they tell you that they found your blog in their internet history and the kids were looking at it. After being confronted by their parents, your kid was sent home. What do you do/say? That would never happen. Teenagers today would much rather see some hot celebrity naked than their parents. In fact, if they did find it they probably wouldn’t read it. Even though they know where they came from, it’s hard for kids to think of their parents as being sexual beings. It’s just hard to visualize your mom sucking your dad’s dick every night. Assuming it did happen, I’d absolutely forbid them to read it. They are not supposed to be reading any 18+ material which this blog definitely is anyway. California Girl and I monitor their online activities carefully when they are at home. The parents of the kid at whomever’s house they were at should be doing the same. The internet is a dangerous place and kids unexpectedly learning more about your parents that they might care to is, by far, not the worst of its ills. That is a much grater concern. Children should never be on the internet unsupervised.

Pick one question I didn’t ask, ask it to yourselves, and then answer it. Do you see your blogging many years from now? We’d like to think that we’ll keep blogging. At some point, we hope that the circumstances are right and we don’t have to pixilate our faces. It would certainly make preparing photographs and movies to post much easier. We’ve got a lot of things on the to-do list like holding a joint photo session with another couple as well as posing for some NC-17 shots with someone who’s just there to take pictures. We’d like for this blog to continue to be a chronicle of our life together for many years to come.

It’s Been A Good Week

Saturday, March 10th, 2007

We haven’t been blogging as much this week because we’ve had a lot going in the real world. Last month may have been the second coldest February on record and was definitely the dreariest; but March has been good to us here in Married In Ohio land. We don’t blog about work much; but, since we both have jobs, something does occasionally merit mentioning.

California Girl and I are in separate industries that seldom do well at the same time, so we seldom get good pay raises in the same year. This year, however, was an anomaly. We both have been doing well at work, and our accomplishments were recognized. So we did what every other red-blooded American does … we spent it. Obviously we’re not homeless and destitute; but it’s been many, many years since we’ve been in this position. And it feels good!

So, we purchased a new car with all of the latest gadgets. We drive our vehicles until the wheels fall off, so cars are a lot nicer with a lot more options than they were the last time we went car shopping. It’s been so long, in fact, that the kids only have vague remembrances of anything other than our current ones. California Girl and I remember our others (all the way back to the 1971 Chevy Caprice Classic that we had in college) but a new vehicle is still a big event for us.

Once we picked it up, we went for a ride just like we did in the old days. In some ways it reminded us of olden times when going for rides was our chief source of entertainment. And, of course the kids wanted to come along too. I’d forgotten how much fun it was. Familiar paths seem completely different when you’re on them because you want to be and not because you have to. I think we both have a tendency to work too hard, so it was good to stop and smell the roses. It’s not the most mature behavior, especially considering the price of gas but it was fun.

We’ve also been doing some (Internet) shopping. California Girl got a new bikini. The Girl got some new soccer gear. And The Boy got some new stuff for characters in his online games. This has been the week of excess. We even got a couple of fancy new keyboards for the computers. And we went out to eat to celebrate everything. Sometimes, you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. This week we have been feasting on bear meat. And it’s been very succulent.

P.S. In case you were wondering, we’ve been celebrating in the bedroom too.

Sex, Photos and Blogging

Friday, January 12th, 2007

Sex has always been one of my favorite things to do with California Girl; but not for the reason that you might thing. While the physical sensation is great, I like the feeling of intimacy. I have always been a toucher in both a sexual and a non-sexual sense. At work, I pat people on the back touch their arms. At home I hug California Girl and horse around with the kids. And, when it comes to sex, I really enjoy touching and being touched. If you look at our photographs you will see that, most of the time, California Girl and I have our hands on each other. For us, sex is about our connection with one another.

California Girl and I only post certain style of photographs in our blog. That’s because we only take pictures of a certain style since you can’t take photographs of something that you don’t do. We may share photographs of us being intimate with one anther but we are more concerned with what’s happening in front of the lens than what things look like through the viewfinder. So the photos you see are of us doing what we would do if the camera wasn’t on. Hopefully, they give you an idea of the affection we have for each other.

Next month will mark the two year anniversary of our blog. During this time, we have shared some of our more private moments. As with anything you post, we’ve been criticized and insulted from time to time. We have also been complimented for taking the risk to put ourselves out there. And asked if we are worried about being discovered. And of course, people wonder why we do this. It’s not easy letting it all hang out on the ‘net. But, we have gotten to know lot of wonderful people that we otherwise would not have met. All without any of the pretenses that surround you when you meet people in the 3-D world. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow. So today, we just want to have fun and cherish the relationships that we have formed. Life is too precious and too unpredictable to do anything else.

A Tale of Two Houses

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

Our vacation is moving way too fast. It seemed like Christmas weekend was here before we blinked. And the New Year is just a few days away. Santa was good to the kids; especially The Girl. The Boy got way too many Xbox and computer games but he’s really into first-person shoot-em-ups and fantasy role playing games. That seems to be a strange combination to me but it’s what he likes. And The Girl got the coveted iPod Nano. I just wish we were as good with other things as we are picking out Christmas presents.

My dad gave us one of his “not in my house” speeches. Apparently, he didn’t like us wearing our Santa hats. We like to wear them places around Christmas time. (Part of that corny we like to match thing that we do.) I didn’t mind taking them off if it bothered him; but I could certainly do without the “it’s my house and I’ll make the rules” speech. It would be nice if he could interact with California Girl and me like adults and not subjects in his realm. We’ve got our own house too. And it’s more than suitable to spend the holiday there if we’re not welcome in his. I keep the peace for my mom’s sake but sometimes it’s hard.

We would like to thank everyone who left us comments or sent us emails wishing us a merry Christmas. Your good wishes are very much appreciated. The holiday season is a time to reflect on some of our traditions, and collaborating on this blog has become one of our favorites. Our Tuesday photo sessions always seem to raise our spirits if we are having a bad week. And the posts remind us of something cheerful when we are having a bad day. The pictures are a lot of fun but it is the words that resonate with us. We look forward to sharing more good times in the years ahead.

Christmas Vacation Sex 2

Sunday, December 24th, 2006

In the days of Rocky VI it seems only fitting that we revisit one of our favorite Christmas traditions. Since our first Christmas here in our home California Girl and I have taken pictures of ourselves having sex under the Christmas tree. We took the photographs for 2006 two weeks ago while the children were at one of there Christmas activities, but we’ve been so busy with preparing for the holiday that I have not had time to post hem until now. We used a couple of photographs from this session for our Christmas Tree HNT so we aren’t repeating them here. And, although it was not our aim, we think that they are different enough from last year to be interesting.

We used our “new” camera so the set up was a little different than last year. (The infrared sensor in this one works better so we made more use of the remote control.) Some of the photographs are slightly cut off since we only framed the area once before we got started. And although they doesn’t show up very well because of the camera flash, the Christmas lights were on and the fireplace was lit. We love the ambience of a twinkling Christmas tree with a fire going in the fireplace. We hope you enjoy sharing one of our favorite holiday traditions with us.

You can find all of the pictures here.

A Lucky Man

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

I’ve mentioned before how lucky I am to be married to California Girl. She’s always been willing to try things. And we always have a lot of fun together. Yesterday was a good example. I asked her to review the video I made of our morning’s “activities” before I posted it and the first thing she said “Cool. You made a movie.” She is not preoccupied with how she looks or what people might think. She’s a lot more focused with what we do and what we think. Even when we’ve got a lot of things going on she’s able to relax and have fun when we have some time together. I think this site reflects our life. Sometimes, we can just relax and enjoy ourselves. And other times we are too busy to breathe.

We’ve had a lot of fun with our blog. California Girl doesn’t post as much as I do; but she reviews most/edits many of the posts. And, of course, she’s a fabulous model. Our blog is about joint participation, and she’s a great co-contributor. She’s always enthusiastic about creating posts. And this publishing this blog has become a great tradition for us. We’ve learned some things about each other and shared some great experiences that we might otherwise not have. And a lot of it is due to California Girl.

It’s Been A Good Year

Saturday, November 25th, 2006

As I overdose on turkey and football this Thanksgiving weekend, it’s good to reflect on the year that has gone by so fast. It’s been a good year and there were some great Kodak moments. The girl having an amazing birthday party that everyone will remember forever. The Boy turning himself into the fastest runner on his cross country team and winning MVP. The Girl stepping between the lines for her first high school soccer game. The Boy changing from a kid into a man almost overnight. But the thing that stands out the most is the fabulous family vacation we took together. There’s something abut the four of us being together that I can’t quite put into words. Memories that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. We’ve chronicled much of it on this blog. And we look toward continuing to share our some of those precious moments in the future.

Home Theater Sex

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

We had so much fun in the home theater this past weekend hat we decided to use some of the photographs for yesterday’s Two For Tuesday post. Several people requested to see the full size pictures so we decided to make a photo page devoted entirely to us in our home theater. It’s over on the side bar like our other photo pages.

All of the photographs are from this past Sunday when we were Home Alone. California Girl and black leather are a great combination. The photographs are our “usual” size but I am working on a plugin that will open the full sized photographs in a pop-up window. We hope you enjoy them.

You can find all of the pictures here.
