Random Wednesday #60

Miscellaneous musings from the mind of Midwestern City Boy (and sometimes California Girl).

  • The Buckeyes have a new coach; but it still doesn’t make up for losing to “that team up north”. At least NCAA basketball has started, so we can forget about the worst football season in decades. And, I still have high hopes for the Bengals.
  • Phones are becoming as complicated as computers. I “rooted” my smartphone and updated the OS, and now photos don’t show in the texting app despite showing up in contacts. I had not realized how much I used photos to quickly find a message thread until they were gone.
  • I was a tele-mechanic for The Girl earlier today. She explains symptoms really well so I was able to talk her through the fix. We still worry about her, especially since she is so far away; but she does do well, particularly for a teenager.
  • We had our first snowfall of the season on Tuesday. It has all melted now; and the roads were was not terrible; but it starting to look like we are going to have a lot of snow and freezing rain this winter. I think I will be doing more boxing and less running for the next few months.
  • I am not ready for Christmas; but I am definitely ready for Christmas vacation. :)
