Sunday Shorts #8
Amazingly the US Women live to play another day in the Women’s World Cup after defeating Brazil on penalty kicks. The officiating was suspect; but, in the end, it didn’t matter. This has been a strange tournament.
The sun is starting to set but today was a glorious day. California Girl and I got up and ran early so we could enjoy the rest of the day around the house (and in the pool). It’s hard to do but it’s really nice to “free” by 10:30 A.M. We could always take the day off; but it’s too easy for one day to become many and a “few pounds” to become 20 or 30 lbs.
Except for the price, the new heater core is magnificent. It heats up the water at a rate of over 3-degrees/hour! So it is very quick and easy to warm up the pool to a temperature that we like. It’s all good right now since the bill is not here yet. We got in the pool very day except Wednesday when we went shopping and Friday when it rained.
After nine consecutive days off, it’s going to be hard to go back to work on Monday. Especially since we don’t plan on another vacation the holidays. We make take a half-day here and there to do some things during work hours; but it will be months until we’re truly on vacation again.
We didn’t do much online this past week; but hope to get back to a regular schedule of blogging (and Facebooking) in the next day or so.
I am finding it more and more difficult to keep up with the computer stuff during summer…early morning is bst for such for me.

Viemoira: I am not a morning person and so when our evenings get busy, I get behind. Especially during the summer when it stays light longer and there is so much to do.
