Finally Summer
Today is the longest day of the year. It rained, of course, so it’s doesn’t seem quite like summer; but I still can’t wait until our upcoming Independence Day vacation.
The kid’s birthdays are coming up soon. I’ve got the “big” present picked out for The Girl; but I am still deciding what to get for our son. He’ll be 21 so we want for it to be memorable.
Even though I special ordered it over two months ago, the replacement battery for California Girl’s Kindle is still not here. It seems like every other day, the “promised date” gets rescheduled for a few days in the future. Very frustrating.
This post should be accompanied by a picture of California Girl and I in the pool. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the opportunity to taken any new pool photographs. We are really hoping for a quiet vacation with lots of time to relax.

Viemoira: Kids grow up quick. It doesn’t seem like that long ago that he was just starting high school. Yours will be out of the house before you know it.
Independence Day is still too far out to appear on the extended forecast; but we’re really hoping for good weather.
