Sunday Shorts #4
I was talking to a friend recently about how lucky The Girl is (sports wise). She’s always played; so she doesn’t think much about it; but she was able to continue her soccer career in college, and, even though it’s “the next level” she’s still usually the quickest, fastest, strongest player on the field. I have to admit that I thought she’d have her doors blown off by now; but it hasn’t happened.
After being stuck inside running on the treadmill; I was finally get outside and run in the park. I was so excited to be outside that I ran too far out before I turned around so it was really, really dark on the way back. Thankfully, I didn’t step in any dog poop, or, more importantly, surprise any skunks. I can clean up my running shoes; but startling a skunk would be a bad day.
I prepared our income taxes today. It was ugly. Not the most ugly it’s ever been; but it was ugly enough. We’ve got two months until we have to pay and we’ll need significant portions of every paycheck until then. It’s the same every year; but doing the taxes always makes me grumpy.
The warm weather that we had last week seems like a dream. I didn’t expect it to last; but I didn’t expect for the forecast to be as cold. Is this winter ever going to end?
It doesn’t have anything whatsoever to do with this post; but, here’s another photo for our fictional online ad.

We just began walks outside again as well- the first day wiped me from all the fresh air.
I like the ad pics!
Viemoira: No more fresh air here anymore. Just Sleet and freezing rain. I got caught out in a monsoon at lunchtime going back to work from boxing. It took a LONG time to warm up. I’m sure my shoes will still be wet tomorrow.
