• Even though the kids are away in school, I’ve continued to go to evening boxing class. It makes for a late dinner; but we aren’t in as much of a hurry as we would be if the kids were around since our mornings are less hectic.
• I’m glad that I decided not to fix or replace the riding lawn mower and just use the push mower. It’s barely rained around here all summer so it would have been a lot of money just for something to sit in the garage. I will do something about it in the spring.
• We’re still adjusting to being “empty nesters”. We’ve got a lot of things going on right now so it hasn’t really sunk in yet; but I sure that it really will hit us once things slow down. Our grocery bill is the smallest that it has been in a long time.
• We’ve resolved to never, ever wear our James #23 jerseys again. It’s not what he did but the way that he did it. For Ohioans, he’s right up there with Art Modell. At least the Buckeyes and the Bengals don’t have any turncoats.
