Random Wednesday #14
Miscellaneous musings from the mind of Midwestern City Boy (and sometimes California Girl).
- Another Friday the 13th has come and gone. We know it’s just coincidence; but since we have bad luck we planned to not do much of anything on last Friday. This Friday, we’ll be hanging out in the pool unless it rains.
- August feels weird now that both kids are preparing for or already in college. Normally, we would have been busy with their high school activities by this time. Now, August is just another summer month.
- One of the problems with getting a phone that has just been released is that it’s hard to find accessories for it. I had to order the screen protector on the internet and still can’t find a case that fits it.
- Now that I have a smartphone I don’t know how I survived so long without one. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that I have to charge it a lot more frequently which is a PIA since I don’t have an extra charger to keep at work like I did with my old phone.
- I’ve gained two or three pounds since I started boxing so frequently. My weight is stable, just slightly higher than I would like for it to be. I’d like to think that its muscle; but I always watch my weight (sometimes even too much) since I’m never going back to the days when I was 100 ponds heaver than I am now.
