Random Wednesday #11
Miscellaneous musings from the mind of Midwestern City Boy (and sometimes California Girl).
- The last song I got from iTunes is “The Only Exception” by Paramore. It’s what’s playing now.
- I’ve been getting the community laptop ready for The Girl to take to college. I bought a new battery and will be transferring her email this weekend. We don’t “need” to replace it since we’ve still got the desktops; but it’s been nice having something portable. We’re thinking of getting an inexpensive netbook to use; but we’ve got a lot of things on the “it would be nice” list.
- It’s really starting to sink in that The Girl will be leaving for college in a few weeks. The Boy will still be at home for a short time after she’s gone; but, in a month or so, we’ll be the proverbial “empty nesters”. Her roommate will have a car so we’re not quite as concerned about making sure we have every last thing; but the next few weeks will still be hectic.
- California Girl and I seem to be getting an incredible amount of spam emails lately. It seems to go in cycles, and, right now, we’re at a high low point. Last week, I accidentally deleted a message unintentionally when I was wading though my inbox. Does anyone still click on the links in phishing emails in 2010?
