Zero PSI
A pressure gauge that reads 0 PSI is never a good thing; especially when it’s on the filter of your swimming pool. In this summer of (almost) everything mechanical that we own breaking, now it appears that there is a problem with the machinery of our pool. After almost 8 years, something was destined to break; but we’ve had a lot more than our share of breakdowns for the year. And, since pool is considered “luxury” items, parts are very expensive. We need to get it fixed soon. A pool full of stagnant water in the back yard is not an ideal way to enjoy the summer. We keep thinking our luck has to change soon; but, it doesn’t seem to be happening.

I dunno what that means with the PS but it sounds like crappy luck having an unusable pool would almost be worse then not having one. Hope your luck changes soon- perhaps at the least you are setting yourself up for a carefree summer next year with all the repairs done.
Viemoira: PSI means Pounds per Square Inch of pressure and not having any means that the pool pump isn’t circulating any water even though it’s running. It turned out to be chlorine gas vapor lock. We’ve had the pool for 8 years so we’re not sure why it’s just staring to happen now probably just our bad luck. The pool company had to come out twice to fix it; but at least we’ able to enjoy it again. It rained today (Sunday) but we got in when it was 95-degrres on Friday and Saturday.
