Random Wednesday #4
Miscellaneous musings from the mind of Midwestern City Boy (and sometimes California Girl).
- We’ve been so busy with graduation activities, etc. for The Girl that we haven’t been blogging much recently. Things are starting to slow down, so we should be catching up with everyone soon.
- The Girl is already registered for class and has her student id card. (She was in the first freshmen registration/orientation session.) Even though it’s the summer, it seems weird having two kids in college.
- Someone threw me under the bus at work in a major, career limiting way. I’m furious about it; but can’t confront them because that would only make the situation worse.
- The Girl broke the screen on her camera so we gave her ours and got a new one. Not the DLSR hat I have been coveting; but an inexpensive point and shoot so we can both take pictures in the short term. We still plan on getting a low-end DSLR or a high end point and shoot; but that will have to wait for a few months. So, we’ll probably end up getting our fourth camera in the past four years sometime this fall.

Sorry to hear about work- I truly believe karma will go the way of said person.
Viemoira: I haven’t been shoved over the side quite yet. But I don’t like being cast as a scapegoat for doing my job. I’m a big boy and I’ll survive one way or the other; but (obviously) I shouldn’t not be in the situation I am.
I’m with the above commenter.
As much as I loathe my job, I’m glad that I’m an “ant” and nobody pays attention to me.
Chickie: I like to think of myself as a drone; but, for some reason, I seem to be a lightning rod. (Probably because I’m the guy that says what’ everyone else is afraid to say. I just can’t seem to ignore the elephant in the room.)
