Better Than The Alternative
I would rather have eaten another hairy, nasty bug that have yet another unexpected car repair. The only “good thing” is that the car died today rather than when we were on the road far from home the past two weekends. Unfortunately, that didn’t make the repair any cheaper. It was especially painful coming on the heels of making a HUGE payment to the IRS. As my brother says: “Life’s a bitch and then you die”, so it’s better than the alternative; but, I’d like some good luck for once.

Guess I need to scroll down and figure out why you were eating bugs… hope it’s not that the ecomony is that bad
The car issue sucks but I think you are right to count your blessings that you made the trip sucessfully before the trouble!
We too are still awaiting some good karma…
Viemoira: As car repairs go, it wasn’t too hurtful. But it was one of the few things that I couldn’t do myself, so, in addition to parts which were about the same as they would have been if I had fixed it, we paid for several hours of labor which is a lot more than free.
Our son comes home soon. Hoopefully he will breing some good Karma with him.
