Life Happens
Sorry that we haven’t been around the blogosphere much lately; but, like all of you, we live in the real world too; and, sometimes, life gets in the way. It wasn’t one big thing; so much as it was an accumulation of a bunch of little things. First, when I was running on the treadmill, I discovered that I had lost a screw to my eyeglasses. That wouldn’t be a problem for a lot of people; but I am very nearsighted and need my glasses to do almost anything. And it’s not like you can get screws that small anywhere locally. Then, one of our ultra-sensitive smoke detectors wouldn’t reset properly after going off when I was cleaning the oven. Again, that wouldn’t be a big deal for a lot of people, but ours are connected to our home alarm. And, because it’s considered an emergency situation, a fire alarm is always relayed whether or not the alarm is on. You can see where this is going. And, as is often the case when we’ve got a lot going on generally, I’m in the midst of a “crisis” at work. It truly isn’t a big deal; except one of the people involves makes everything painful. Everything, both personally and professionally is all better now. We just concluded our weekly photo session which is always helps; especially when life is as stressful as it has been the past few days. And our dinner is on the way. We’re going to eat and watch the basketball game. We’ll publish our Two For Tuesday post tonight or tomorrow depending on what we feel like. And, after that, we’ll catch up with everybody’s blog.

When it rains it pours as they say! Glad things are getting back to “normal” whatever that is
Viemoira: Unfortunately, normal didn’t last too long. The vehicle that The Girl drives died and I couldn’t find/fix what was wrong so I had to have it towed in. It wasn’t any of the usual. I’m just hoping that the repair doesn’t end up being to expensive. All the same, it’s still an unexpected expense.
Hopefully things are settling down on the home front. Get those glasses fixed stat!
KittyKillKill: Things were quiet for a day or so. But, we couldn’t make it to the weekend. I just wish we weren’t living so close to the edge. Then things wouldn’t be so stressful. I know everyone is. We keep hoping for things to get better; but, historically, Ohio is usually one of the first places to have a downturn and one of the last to have an upturn. Money isn’t everything and there are a lot more important things; but it still hard not having quite enough.
I hope that life resets itself for you soon. But the most important thing I took away from your post–YOU CLEAN THE OVEN! You rock!
Mountain Girl: Friday was NOT a good day; and it snowed again; but we’re hopeful our luck will change soon.
And yes, I clean ovens. I do most of the chores with goo involved. Things are much easier to clean in our current home than they were in our previous one; but there’s much more to do.
