She Looked Good
Because of the holiday, The Girl didn’t have school, so we went to the photographer and selected her senior pictures. She looked good all daughters (and sons) look good; but they were expensive. And we didn’t even have anything special done. I know that senior portraits are a big deal, especially for girls; but I keep thinking how graduating high school is just the first big milestone along the road of life. For some, high school is the penultimate achievement; but, hopefully, for The Girl it’s just one of many. She probably will play soccer in college; and, presumably, will graduate. So there are a lot more special moments in her life to come. And California Girl and I hope to be at as many of them as possible.
P.S. In the words if Stevie Wonder “Happy birthday to you”.

I am sure she looks beautiful in the photos and you’ll appreciate later paying those expensive prices for the pictures.
KittyKillKill: I hope you are right. I’m one of those people who carry a recent picture of everyone in the family in my wallet and has larger version on my desk at work. But, since I’ve been changing them at least once a year for the past 20+ years; it doesn’t seem like as much of a milestone as it probably is. Sometime this fall, I’ll probably be replacing her senior picture from high school with one from her freshman year in college.
Savoir all the moments time passes very quickly.
Jerry B: That is so true. I never truly understood why people said that kids grow up quickly until a few years ago when The Boy’s high school years were winding down.
