As it has been in much of the country, the weather in Ohio has been frigid. Plus, we both seem to have a slight case of the post-holiday blahs. We don’t mind the snow and we don’t mind the cold; but, both of them put together are not very much fun. (I’d love to be able to go on a nice long run in the park without having to trudge through snow or be constantly looking for ice.) One thing we do like to do in January is post photographs of some of the clothes that California Girl received as Christmas gifts. I didn’t give her any new clothing this year; but, she got a nice top from our daughter. Unlike many of the clothing items that we receive from other relatives it was the correct size and a style that she would wear. So here is a photo of California Girl modeling her new top to brighten up a dreary winter evening. As you can see from the second photograph, it didn’t stay on very long.

That does fit wonderfully! Yay to The Girl! I always have a hard time figuring out what to get my Mom for Christmas.
Chickie: It’s hard to shop for people who aren’t in your household since you’re not familiar with their current lifestyle. For example, sometimes, we get pajamas which we NEVER wear when we’re home alone as gifts. So I like to go for gadgets if possible.
