Now We Know
Now we know what our “big gift” for the family will be for Christmas. Unfortunately, the television in our living room just died so we’ll be getting a new TV. This isn’t the best time to buy consumer electronics; but, even though we get a lot of our information/entertainment from the internet, we all still watch television. I’m pretty handy with cars, appliances, plumbing, and even electrical components; but this doesn’t seem like something that can be easily fixed. According to The Girl, it was smoking and had a burning electrical smell. Plus, it was 11 years old so it’s probably not worth repairing anyway. The worst part is that because of holiday shipping deadlines we really couldn’t shop around. The only “good” thing is that our options were limited since we’ve got an old style home entertainment center so only a few models would fit the opening. Hopefully the unit we ordered will arrive before Christmas.
