Two For Tuesday – 214
We receive a lot of questions and comments about our “bedcam” setup. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we thought that it would be good topic for a TFT photo post. So here are a couple of pictures of our camera in capturing the action. We use a small infra red remote to control it. It also has a fold out LCD which is very useful if when taking self portraits. These photos should give a good idea of our setup.

Nice setup! I think we need to invest in a better camera. I like the picture of the camera capturing the picture.
Viemoira: The fold out LCD is also handy in situations where you have to hold the camera away from your body to take a picture (like in the middle of a crowd). When it was or primary camera, we used it quite a lot. We miss it; but we still use a new smaller one for our other snapshots. And the tripod came from Wal-Mart. We like the picture of the camera capturing a picture too.
Oh, cool! I didn’t realize you could see the photo you were taking. Thought you just took a bunch “blindly” and hoped for the best.
Now I realize that I need a new camera.
Chickie: We both wear eyeglasses so we can’t always see what’s on the LCD but it really helps a lot. It’s an uncommon feature but it’s very handy; especially if we’re positioning the camera in an unusual position. One of these days we’re going to find a suitable photographer; but the camera is working well in the interim.
What about a picture of the camera taking a picture of the camera taking a picture of the camera taking a picture … ad infinitum.
Mathematical theory suggests that chaos arises from self reference.
Here’s to chaos.

Don: We’ve actually made a mirror post like that one; but you could only see two generations in the reflection.
Cool – especially on the second shift. I like how you’re taking still shots from the portable cam.
Rage: These photos came out as well as we could have hoped. We weren’t sure that the other cameras LCD would be visible; but it shows a lot of detail. So, we were really please with the pictures.
