The Project From Hell
I don’t usually talk about work much; but, without getting into details, I’ve come to be working on the project from hell. Endless emails back and forth. Constant blamestorming. Daily meetings to figure out how to get the project back on track. It just goes on and on and on. I’ve been in business a long time, so I’m used to tough days in the office. But I’ve never been on a project this radioactive. It really makes it hard to get up and go to work in the mornings. I should be out the door already; but, lately, I’ve been lingering ay home as long as possible.

Sounds like perhaps a lot of unecessary correspindence and no gain being made toward completion? Frustrating i am sure… i gotta say that is not a good sign (delaying going in)…
Hope things with the project are resolved soon and it moves forward.
Viemoira: We have flex time, so even though I’m not always s in the office right at 8AM, I get my
8910 hours in. And yes, you are correct; a LOT of tasks without any purpose. (I got another one in today’s meeting.) The only good thing is that there was a crisis on another project; so I had a brief respite while putting out that fire. Unfortunately, I did a good job so my “reward” is going back to the project from hell. That is the suck that the project is not moving forward as planned. What is even worse is when members of the team cannot take accountability for their work or issues and then move on to complete the task at hand.
Rage: I always say it doesn’t matter how we got here, what matters is what we do from this point forward. The import thing is to move on and get it done. Unfortunately, some people are always trying to make it look like it’s not their fault, and that is tremendously non-productive. I am ready for the weekend.
