Always A Champion To Us

The Girl played another good game today (Saturday). She and her team have been playing really well recently. It’s going to be sad to see their season end knowing that this is their last year together. The season has really zoomed by. They’ve got a few more games to play and then the tournament starts next week. The old photographs and other memorabilia that we were sorting through in preparation for Senior Night chronicle an incredible transformation. From the six-month old who was mad that she couldn’t walk like her brother who was two years older to the 17-year old who is an amazing athlete (hopefully) is ready to make her own way in the world. California Girl and I have spent so many Saturday afternoons and weekday evenings in the fall on the sidelines that we wonder what we’ll do next year. She’ll always be our little girl; but the days that we thought would last forever are fast coming to an end.
