Bengals Win!
After what seemed like forever; but was actually “only” eight years, the Bengals finally beat the hated Steelers in Cincinnati. For a beleaguered Stripes fan that is used to taking abuse in the break room at work I am going to enjoy rehashing the game on Monday. And, enjoying drinking the proceeds of a few friendly wagers.
The high school football team we root for won in the rain and mud on Friday. The Bucks had a shutout victory on Saturday. And the Bengals had a rare win today. There’s always next week; but, for a few days, we’ll be smiling.
I was about to ask if you were Bengals or Browns fans because either you had a REALLY exciting game last night, or you had your tails whipped by us. We consider the Steelers to be “that one boss” for us because we can’t ever seem to beat them.
Sarah: We’re Bengals fans, even when they are the Bungles. Yesterday was a HUGE win for them. Their biggest in years. The Steelers are hard to beat since their QB is so elusive. But, they don’t run the ball as well as in the past and their defense isn’t as good so they are definitely beatable. I hope they lose next week too and end up looking up at everyone except the Browns.
We have to face them in a few weeks. They are what gamers call “That one boss” to us. We have so much trouble beating them, yet the Redskins can take them easily and we crush the Redskins without fail.
Sarah: I think that this will be a “down” year for the Steelers. Not like a bad year for the Bengals where they are lucky to win 4 games; but an 8-8 sort of a year. They’ve got enough talent to get some wins that they probably shouldn’t but they won’t be going back to the SuperBowl.
