A Geeky Experiment
I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I could embed a Silverlight-based player for .WMV formatted movies similar to the Flash-based player for .SWF and .FLV movies; but had not done so because, unlike Flash, I didn’t think that the majority of visitors had Microsoft Silverlight. Rather than assume, I decided to post a test video using the player and see what the response is. So here is an embedded player with movie of California Girl giving me a blowjob. Please let me know whether or not you can play it. I’ll decide whether or not to keep using the player based upon the feedback. It’s an older, smaller clip so don’t worry if you can’t. It plays but slowly and with pauses. Your whole page has slowed down again. Not kidding took 3 minutes to load the other day.
Carolina Jim and Wife: There were two things going on. First we had several movies on the home page. That definitely slowed things down. And second, there was a misconfiguration of the server after an aborted system upgrade from a week ago. That’s been fixed and the server restated so things are much faster now.
Hi Folks, FYI the video works, take time to unload,but is ok.

Barbara: Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t think about it when I was posting; but, given our bandwidth, three videos on the home page is probably too much.
Each time I have tried to watch it times out on me….just sayin’
Rage: I think I may need to do something different. If you are having problems others probably are too and just haven’t commented about it. I do want to figure out what the problem is; but I’ll email you the videos in the interim.
