A Small Victory
It kinda got lost in the rush of Father’s day weekend; but I reached my target weight even with a big Father’s day diner. I’m going to continue dieting until at least Friday; but anything I lose from this point is a bonus. It’s a small victory since I didn’t have that much to lose (21 lbs); but I’m still proud of myself. I’m never going to have a “chiseled physique”; but it’s still nice not to have a big spare tire anymore. I know that much of it was due to increasing the intensity of my workouts but I still want to thank California Girl for helping me with my diet. My only regret is that I let myself get fat in the past which makes achieving and maintaining a good silhouette that much harder now.

Funny, the anti-spam word was zap, as in you zapped away those twenty-one pounds. CONGRATS!
Mr. Manic Depressive: It took a couple of months; but the pounds did go relatively rapidly. I’m fortunate in that I lose weight quickly; but I also gain just as fast.
Congratulations! I’m finding keeping in shape is much more work as I age! It takes much more discipline and even the smallest cheats find there way to my thighs.
Viemoira: I know what you men. After my recent diet, I weigh exactly the same as the same now as I did when I was in college and I didn’t work out six days a week then. And I’m not one of those people who barely exercise when I work out. When I work out, I work out hard. I attend an instructor lead boxing class twice a week and the other days I run at least six miles.
