Two For Tuesday – 184
Since we posted about the similarities between where I work and the Titanic yesterday, and the Flying Pig Marathon the day before that, California Girl and I thought that today would be a good day to do our version of Jack Dawson drawing Rose DeWitt Bukater wearing nothing but the Heart of the Ocean diamond. Of course we don’t have a huge blue diamond so California Girl is wearing her finisher’s medal from Sunday’s race. And, since this is 2009 I’m taking a digital photograph rather than drawing her in charcoal. We really liked the way that the photos turned out. We hope that you enjoy them too.

When I saw the first photo, the one with both of you properly attired for that venue, I thought that its title ought to be “A Portrait of the Artist as a Priapic Man”. Thanks for the painterly touch, and keep up the hard work.
Art Critic: You are welcome. We’ll be here for many years to come.
BTW: I’ve got a pretty good vocabulary and never heard of “priapic” before.
Lovely photos and congratulations on your medals.
Lapis Ruber: Thank you. We know we aren’t the fastest; but we still enjoy competing in races. It’s a good way to stay fit and have fun.
Great ideas!! i love how happy and natural California Girl l;ooks!!
Viemoira: Thank you. California Girl really liked the idea and was smiling throughout the photo session. So, photos came out really well. And, by pure happenstance, they are almost PG-13 rated (since her pubic area is just off camera) so they have a resemblance to the movie.
I think this is the first picture I have seen of you with glasses on…..CG girl has won the gold medal for a great picture!
Rage: I usually take photos with my glasses off; but I thought that they added something to the scene so I left them on. Its adds to the perspective of the shot.
What an inspired idea! We will have to take similar shots the next time we get running or cycling medals.
Greg & Sheryl: Thank you. We thought this was a good way to take an interesting photo and feature our finisher’s medals from the rave. We’ve got dozens of medals; but the ones from the Flying Pig are our favorites since always run it together.
