Where Did Spring Go?
I was going to post this yesterday; but my fingers were too numb to type. I spent yesterday afternoon on the sidelines of what might possibly have been the coldest soccer game The Girl has ever played in. It was 30-degrees, raining with howling winds. Cold isn’t bad and neither is wind or rain; but, all three together make it almost to stay warm. Most of the other parents sat in thier cars. The only thing that made it a bit warmer was that the good guys girls (her team) won. I’m proud of them for persevering in such poor conditions. (Do you know how hard it is to play soccer with a 25 mph crosswind?) She hasn’t played a game on a bright sunny day yet this spring. Hopefully for her sake and ours she’ll have one soon.
