Two For Tuesday – 178
Rain was eminent by the time we started our photo session, so we decided to take some back lit photographs in the bedroom. The battery in the camera was about to die but we were able to capture a few photographs before it did. We don’t have any pictures of how we ended; but here are a couple of how we started. The color reproduction isn’t the best since we couldn’t use the flash; however, we sometimes like “flawed” photographs. We hope that you like them too.
For some fun in the bathroom on rainy day, talk to your significant other.

Re. colour reproduction.
I think that often the most striking photographs are ones in which the ‘usual standards’ are broken. (I refuse to call them ‘normal standards’). (Applies to any art form too I guess.)
These images are like that – the colour is rich and a surprise – the light is adequate for good resolution. In addition the colour is warmer than it might appear if reproduced correctly.
I read an essay once whose theme was that socalled ‘modern art’ was a result of the development of the camera – if a camera allows anyone to create an accurate image then we have to look elsewhere for a striking image.
Anyway – the result is a pair of beautiful images.

Wow I think these are my favorite photos so far! Its supposed to rain here this weekend, if so I hope to spend a good amount of time in bed with Beast!
Yondan: Thank you. We’re definitely amateur photographers so we don’t have the best idea what’s OK and what’s not. Many of our more interesting photographs are accidental. Our simple point and shoot cameras don’t have the best color representation anyway.
Viemoira: Thanks. The girl doesn’t have a tournament this weekend so, we should be “around the house” most of the weekend which, for us, is quite rare this time of year.
