2,000,000 Visitors
Sometime today, probably when we were at the gym working out, Married In Ohio went over 2,000,000 visitors! That’s not a lot for many destinations on the web; but, for us, that is far more people than we ever imagined would visit our corner of the web. Plus we got a comment from an old friend whom we have not heard from in a while. Wouldn’t it be cool if our first commenter ever was also our two-millionth visitor?
April will mark the fourth anniversary of marriedinohio.com. Many blogs have been born, run their course and vanished in that time. Only one or two people who were on our blogroll back then are still actively blogging. We’re pleased that we still have a blog. Sadly, many of the couples blogs we read went offline because the principals were no longer together or had relationship problems. Married In Ohio is as much of a testament of our commitment to each other as it is blogging.
We blog not for the stats but for the friendships we have created. Even so today is a good day to reflect on the past three years and eleven months. Thanks to everyone who has visited; especially if you have been kind enough to leave a comment. We’re glad to be here and we’re glad that you are still here with us.

Congratulations MCB and CG! You guys continue to amaze me with your ongoing documentation of your lives and relationship. May you make 3 mil. soon!
Congrats on 2 million!
…or in some cases, the “principals’” psycho ex wife found the blog and turned it in to the principal’s employer, causing a lot of unnecessary embarrassment….
Don’t forget to add me on your Facebook. I tried looking for you, but not sure which network you are in, and there are lots of guys with your name.
I feel the same way. I had ads, but took them off. I just care about the people that come by that are cool.
Gary White: Thank you. Thank you. 3 million visitors is probably almost 2 year away. No one knows what the future holds; but I hope we are still blogging then.
Mr. Manic Depressive: Thanks. Longevity awards are nice since because it means that we’re still together.
Becky: She was an evil woman. I hope that things have settles down for you. And I sent you a friend invitation on Facebook.
Kate: Advertisements can help reduce costs; especially if you have pay for your own domain and are not using a free service like (as both you and us are). But, at the end of the day, it’s about the people that we meet and not about the revenue.
Congratulations! It’s good to know so many people take an interest in a couple so into commitment.
More congratulations from the cold north. (Although last Friday it was -46 C windchill (-55F) and yesterday it thawed and the streets were wet). To be married (and still happy is a statistical anamoly these days. The two of you (and your children) are an ideal for us all.
Cheers yondan
Yondan: I don’t know how you and your neighbors do it. If it was 55°F below zero we’d all just hunker down and not go anywhere inside until spring. It really sad that being married and happy is a statistical anomaly nowadays. We really wish it were not so.
I wasn’t making that much. Wasn’t even worth having the ads on there.
But yeah, you’re right. Made a lot of friends.
Kate: As bad as the economy is, I don’t blame anyone for a few ads. They’re not for us; but we don’t mind them if they don’t overpower the actual content of a site. Visitors are guests and not potential customers. Everything is good so long as the blog authors kept that in mind.
