A Good Weekend
We had a good Valentine’s Day weekend. We didn’t go anywhere on Saturday night because The Girl was going to a school dance. We didn’t mind staying in. In a couple of years she will be away in college and we’ll be able to go out whenever we want. And, since we were staying around the house, we took the opportunity to get nekkid and sweaty. I’m probably an incurable romantic; so I like to spend the day with California Girl even if we’re not going out on the town. I don’t have a three-day weekend; I’m one of the unlucky ones who has to work on tomorrow. Whether your weekend is ending or continuing through Monday, we hope it’s been great.
Here’s a photograph from last December that summarizes our weekend.

Glad you had a nice weekend. Valentine’s Day should always be a real celebration of you life together.
HEY! That’s what we did Saturday night as well! Small world!
Looks like great times to me! We spent our Valentine’s day much the same!
i just began having the enlightenment that my oldest will be out the door before i know it, of course i still have 5 years but it goes by awfully quick and i am preparing early for the inevitable.
It was freezing and raining here but I still did go out every day.
I’m glad it was raining though.
That sucks you had to work. I had today off, but will have to go to sleep early tonight.
You wait till they’re no longer in the house every night and then you wish they’d come home more often to visit. Life is really confusing.
Alfie: Thank you. Some years, we really celebrate. Other we mark the occasion quietly at home. We’re kinda sappy so it is our sort of holiday.
Mr. Manic Depressive: What’s the phrase? Every morning and every night and twice on Sundays. That’s usually us on weekends when it comes to sex.
Viemoira: Glad to hear it. That a great way to spend the weekends; especially Valentine’s Day. Time flies and kids grow up fast. It seems like yesterday; when we were moving into this place because it was a good neighborhood for kids and now the kids are almost grown.
Kate: Good for you. I HATE the cold driving rain at we get in the winter around here. We got a bit restless from being in the house so we ran a few errands; but we’re can’t wait for war weather when we can get outside without having to war a heavy winter coat. I don’t get ANY days of until Memorial Day. I really need a vacation by March or April.
Yondan: We miss our son. We know it’s the way of things; but, after 18 years, you really get used to him being in the house.
Always a good way to spend some time!
Chickie: We could get used to it! We don’t have very many weekends where we can hang out at the house and not be running in and out on errands for the kids. And, and, and since the Valentine’s Day dance (and preparations) The Girl was attending went very smoothly.
