Grades Are Posted
Grades are posted and The Boy did very well in his first semester of college. We were a little bit worried because the first one that was available was his lowest mark; but he got “A”s in all of his other courses including his honors classes. He was a good student in high school but college is much more difficult. So it was good to see him doing well despite having to adjust to life away from home. Unlike many kids his age, he seems to grasp the importance of getting off to a good start; and that a poor performance in the early days can have lasting repercussions. And since he took Calculus II, the most difficult of the required math classes, this fall and got it out of the way we expect that he will do even better in the spring. We are his parents so we’re biased; but he continues to be impressive academically. And, he doesn’t have a girlfriend (so far as we know) so he doesn’t have any extra distractions.

Your pride shines through. Congratulations to all of you. And very Happy Holidays.
Congrats on the A’s….you must be proud!
Rosie: He doesn’t do it how I would do it but he’s very successful so we aren’t complaining. Merry Christmas to you too. It’s going to be a great Christmas season.
Rage: We know he’s smart; but we’re still walking on air.
Calculus can be a tough hill. I’m glad to see it was surmountable.
Yondan: It was a long time ago fro me but I remember those days well. Math is always a killer, even if you are good at it because there is so much to learn in such a short period of time
