Two For Tuesday – 152
Despite all of the downed trees and power lines, the US Postal Service is still delivering mail. So, the new camera that we had ordered recently was delivered as promised on Monday. The battery was discharged since it was brand new; but I was able to charge it in the evening when I was called back in to work on Monday to resolve several issues. It doesn’t have all of the features of our current camera, and its 8 megapixel resolution is only slightly higher; but, it is much smaller and easier to use; especially for California Girl who is not as much of a technology buff as I am. Anyway, we did the same thing as we do with all of our new cameras; we take naked pictures of ourselves. Here is our first couple of photos with the new camera, one taken with flash and one without. We don’t plan to completely replace our current camera. But we hope to use the new one in simple point and shoot situations.

That is the way to break in a new camera
The bj closeup is a little difficult to see because of the lighting…but this one, damn! It’s sexy and “artsy” too. I really like it. Thanks for thinking of us during your power outage.

Chickie: I’m not as good in low light photographs as I would like but I thought that it turned out OK
Mr. Upton Ogood: I figured that’s what you meant. It’s also us getting used to the new camera. Plus it’s harder to hold the camera it steady for the long exposure time necessary for low light photographs. We’ll get better at it as we get more used to it.
