Home Sweet Home
I’m home. Actually, I got home yesterday; but, since the taxman waits for no man, alive or dead, I needed to finalize our tax returns. I’ve been a road warrior in days past; but I really, really hate being away from home on weekends. This past weekend’s trip was different since I was traveling with The Girl to out of town soccer matches. I know that that is the way of things; but I miss spending time with California Girl; especially after a long week. I hadn’t realized how much I enjoy uncomplicated weekends with my wife. She usually attends the games too, but this was one of those rare occasions where she was unable to come along.
We missed a lot of sex this from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. It’s been a long time since we’ve not had sex on a Friday or Saturday night. We don’t have a specific schedule (for us, sex is anything but routine) but weekends are “prime time”. I’m not sure how the logistics would have worked in the hotel room; but we have always managed to figure something out. Thankfully, I had a very good homecoming when California Girl and I were reunited.
We are in the same situation next week too. Maybe I’ll try to come home early on Friday so that we can have a good sendoff.
P.S. The Girl has been playing really well. They may not always get the W; but she has really elevated her game.

Soccer Dad!
Taxes suck! I owed.
Getting reunited is always fun! It is hard when you are away over a weekend but at least you were with your daughter and not away for business.
Ms SD
i agree with kate.As far as your road trip with the girl, she’ll look back on it as special time with dad.CG and you have add delight of homecoming fun and games.
Kate: I guess so. But I do love it.
Ms SD: Thankfully I’m almost never away from home on business over the weekend these days. And our reunion was quite fun.
Bill McCool: It was interesting. We usually take road trips as a foursome or at least as a threesome. Sometimes, I almost forget how connected California Girl and I are.
