Spring Forward

It seems kind of odd adjusting the clocks for Daylight Savings Time when there’s more than a foot of snow on the ground. The “spring forward fall back” mnemonic doesn’t seem very appropriate when the weather outside is not at all spring like. The national weather service hasn’t decided whether it was a blizzard or a huge snowstorm; but, either way, there’s still a lot of snow. Fortunately, The Boy and The Girl both helped shovel so it didn’t take as long as expected to dig out.

I am really regretting working on our income tax returns yesterday. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. Now that we’ve seen the ugly details, I think I would have preferred not knowing how much we owed for another month or so. We need our money throughout the year, so we always plan on owing. But, there’s a difference between owing a little bit and owing a huge amount. It’s going to be a very lean April.

It’s been kind of nice being at home with the family. I’m really dreading going back to work on Monday. I think we’re just going to order a pizza and hang out this evening.
