HNT – 132
Osbasso requested that the theme for today be “I Love My Mac”. Unfortunately, those of us who are knowledgeable about the computers know how badly a Mac sucks when compared to a properly configured PC. Either platform is suitable for most everyday tasks; but the difficulty in writing software for Macs will forever confine them to being niche products. Good perhaps even great niche products; but they will never become mainstream.
Anyway, we just couldn’t bring ourselves to being a commercial for Apple. Instead, we decided to feature a picture of California Girl sucking my dickbecause Macs even suck at sucking. So our theme for today is “I Love My Wife”. This is one kind of sucking that is good.

You guys always make me jealous… HHNT!
Sucking is always good when it comes to that but not Macs!
I love my Mac, even if it has issues, just like my Bears!
Happy HNT!
Oh, I finally got it up.
Aside from being trendy and ego tripping, I don’t see any extra value between mac and non-mac.
The mac does seem to help you present some nice photos.
I love my Mac but I love doing that too! My Mac is great for what I do with it – music, movies, photos and surfing the net.
Happy HNT!
Ms SD
LOL! I agree entirely about Macs! The only thing i could find was an old WiFi Router with a backup modem port kicking around our house…love your pic!!

Sorry I can’t agree with you about Mac v PC. Having worked with PC at work and Mac at home, I found the Mac infinitely easier to use and much more stable. The new Leopard OS beats Vista by a long way.
But what it cannot do is make my photographs look nearly as sexy as yours
Happy HNT.
Impressed. I could never stand on the bed without losing my balance.
Ok, I need a cold shower now!
HHNT!
Hot pic; I always love your HNT stuff.
And now to feed that little trolly comment of yours, just because I can’t resist:
So what’s a properly-configured PC, then — one with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express forcibly uninstalled, where you run all your programs on a non-administrator account to protect your system from being compromised? Oh, and running on 32-bit architecture, of course, because good luck getting any of your hardware to work under 64-bit Windows. For God’s sake, LINUX has better 64-bit driver support than Windows.
What is it, exactly, that Windows will do that a Mac won’t these days — besides video games, viruses, and spyware?
All right, rant over. Thanks for the pic, and looking forward to more.
Whatever. I guess Midwestern City Boy has never written with Objective C in Xcode for the Mac. An absolute developer’s dream! I took 10 years of Windows development experience and $50K of training and threw them all out the window for my Macs. Windows’ ship has sailed.
great picture
you are one lucky man to have California Girl for your wife
We had no idea this post would be so provocative. There certainly are some diehard and Mac (and Linux) fans out there. Several people de-lurked and were first–time commenters. In fact, today’s HNT got more comments than any recent post and most of them were about the OS wars.
LushlyMe: Thanks. We’re not trying to make you jealous. We just want to have fun. HHNT
Kate: Macs, have issues. PCs have issues. The Bears have issues. But none of them have nearly as many issues as our beloved Bengals. I’ll be right by to and check out your HNT.
Richard: You’ve actually got it right. Despite what each side would have you believe, Macs and PCs are essentially the same. It’s like the difference between an SUV and a convertible. Both get you there; but do it in different ways. Think about it. If one really was that much better, everyone would switch. Both platforms have their pros and cons.
Ms SD: We love it too.
Perception is its own reality and Macs do have a more of coolness factor; but both do the tasks you need equally well. If only they could really suck dicks. We won’t be switching; but I must admit you do great work with yours. Happy HNT!
Viemoira: We’ve got much too much old electronics in this house. In fact I’ve still got one or two some old style floppy drives in the basement somewhere. So, we though California Girl would make a much better “prop”. Especially if I gave her something to do.
LapisRuber: Vista aficionados would say the same thing only in reverse. It’s all what you are used to. I once knew a mechanics who tried to convince me that drum brakes were easer to change than disk brakes. Much like we know the quirks of technology we use all the time, he was very familiar with all of the springs and self adjusters. People talk about PCs being more unstable but much of that is urban legend and that fact that people love to complain about computers. In reality, the BSOD is nearly extinct and millions of people are still buying those “troublesome PCs.” I don’t do much in our photographs. It’s California Girl who is the photogenic one.
Alfie: It’s easy to stand on the bed if someone has a good hold on your “third leg”.
HHNT.
Naughty Endevours: We’ve got a shower bug enough for three.
Happy HNT.
MMXavier Says: Thanks. Glad that you like. We weren’t trolling; PCs/Macs/Linux is a religious war that will never be resolved. I could talk about some of the problems we had on Linux at some f the web hosts that we have used in the past; but that’s beside the point. Computers/operating systems today are a lot more similar than they are different, and are more interoperable than ever before; but many people swear their something fundamentally wrong with the others. Our blog looks just fine on any of the three. People don’t know or care what’s on the other end. Things just work.
And remember, just like X-rated videos were a driving force behind VHS videocassettes, video games drive much of the computer industry. And that is almost the exclusive domain of PCs. I’m not saying that it is right or wrong.
PS: Who logs into a Linux as root all of the time?
David: Yes, and for Windows, there C# /.NET. But the technological different aren’t so compelling one way or another that very many people do as you have. Seriously, look at all of the open source software that runs on everywhere. Apache, PHP, MySQL, just to name a few. It’s mainframes computers that are REALLY, REALLY hard to develop for. The PC vs. Mac battle was fought long ago. It was not our intent to resurrect it her. At the end of the day, despite all of the hyperbole, the technology itself will determine which type is “better”.
Wayne: Thanks. And yes I am. Blow jobs are one of her many specialties. HHNT.
I’d rather look at this than someone’s computer
Us too. Neither Macs, nor PCs (or Linux boxes) are as much fun as this.
Wow I missed a whole battle! Well I’ll jump in even if late.
I was always a PC person and recently got a mac after lots of issues w/ my Dell that i hate-hate-hated!! I’m very happy w/ my mac, but then again I don’t do anything difficult on it.
The one place that I think mac has pc beat hands down is customer service. Every computer WILL have issues, and a novice like myself needs tech support. Calling tech support for any of my PCs was so painful I think I’d rather have a root canal while being forcibly fed potato chips (salt– ow!). Calling mac tech support (which I’ve done I think 4 times… although 3 of those were just because I was being dumb and didn’t know what I was doing) was pleasant! They were fast, they were nice, and lord almighty they knew what they were talking about! The very first person to answer the phone helped me, and I didn’t have to wade through 4 levels of support using threats all the way to get to someone 2 hrs later who had actually used a computer before!
AlwaysCurious: It’s never too late to comment on the Mac vs. PC war. Dell customer service is great to horrible depending on who you get. A co-worker and I have almost identical laptops and both were experienced the same problem. He got replacements parts sent overnight and I got the run around. Considering how hard it is to find new customers, one would think companies would work harder to keep the ones that they have.
I know! And I think Dell programs their computers to break down or something (I may be a bit of a conspiracy theorist), because my mom and I got identical laptops at the exact same time. I use mine 12+ hrs/day, she uses hers maybe 2 hrs every other day or so. And we had several issues occur at the same time!
Oh well. I have my mac now and I”m happy.
