Married In Ohio

The temperatures hovered right around freezing with a wind chill of 23°F. Not the best weather for The Girl’s first soccer game of the “spring” season. The field had patches of partially frozen mud between tufts of still dormant grass. But it was still outdoor soccer. So, she and her teammates put in their Under Armour underneath the game jerseys and took the field. They were happy to be playing again.

It was cold for the parents on the sideline. We could have used some cold weather gear ourselves. Even though I was shivering in the wind, I was glad to be out there. I always enjoyed watching the kids compete. But, now that The Boy’s high school athletic career is over; I have an even greater appreciation of how precious games days are. It’s still two years away; but it doesn’t seem nearly as far as it once did. So we need to enjoy them while we can.

The Girl is on a new team this spring yet she has still been able to make her mark. Despite playing a new position she’s still been a major contributor. In fact, The Girl was instrumental in two of their victories this weekend. Things come easily to her on the soccer field. She has no idea how rare that is. Maybe she’ll understand it one of these days.

In case you were wondering, they brought back the first place trophy. She’s got a lot of them on the mantle. But, I think this one will be one of her favorites.

I upgraded to the most recent version of WordPress on Saturday night. Nothing should have changed from a visitor’s perspective; but you never know with software upgrades. We’ve been using WordPress for three years and it gets better with every release. It’s a nuisance to host your own blog; especially when the system administrator would rather be investigating California Girl’s naughty bits. But at least we don’t have to deal with the idiosyncrasies of Blogger. And, except for having to worry about bandwidth, we can post as many pictures and movies as we want. To be fair, Blogger has been much more stable than it used to be. But recently we started receiving a “Content Warning” when visiting some of our favorite blogs. It’s nice to not have to worry about things like that. Anyway, if you notice anything that is not working or if something has mysteriously disappeared from the sidebar please let me know.

Occasionally, California Girl and I take an “old style” HNT photograph in which we aren’t fully nekkid, or what we are doing isn’t as readily apparent. By chance, we happened to take one of those photos this week so we decided to post it. We have also posted some pictures of California Girl handling the equipment. We don’t have a theme this week. We’re just posting some pictures that we like. We hope that you like them too.

Tuesday was a crazy day as evidenced by how late this post is. Since it was so chaotic we thought that some upside down photographs would be a suitable conclusion. So here is a collage of us in some positions that we don’t frequently use. It may have been very late but California Girl made it a good day in the end.

I never noticed how big dicks are in proportions to women’s’ heads until I was looking at the first photograph. We’ll back soon with our HNT post.

Married in Ohio was intermittently inaccessible late Monday evening while I was performing a software upgrade. It should have been offline less than 5 minutes; but it ended up being almost 10 times that long. I learn something every upgrade even though I don’t want too. It certainly would be a lot easier if I had a scratch monkey. Our blog certainly isn’t as valuable as Mabel; but it is still very frustrating when things don’t go as planned. Anyway, my point wasn’t to complain about software upgrades; we’re all very familiar with how much of a headache those can be. Excerpt; for a slight increase in speed; you should not notice anything different. If you do see something weird, please let me know via a comment, the shoutbox, or an email.

I “overslept” today which is a polite way of saying that I spent some quality time with California Girl this morning. I wonder if the people I work with have any idea what we do when we are “sleeping”. I’m probably in a better mood that usually when I first arrive in the office; but other than that, I am unaware if there are any other outward signs. I try not to look guilty when I get to work; but, some days, I can’t help but laugh when I think what I was doing while the early arrivers were tapping away on their keyboards. The Monday after Easter is not as hectic as a typical Monday since many people are away on spring break. The morning’s activities may it a very relaxed.

I can hardly wait until May when California Girl and I can resume our summer schedule. I don’t need to get up and out early in order to get the kids to school, so, there are always a lot of mornings like this one. If it was an everyday occurrence, I probably would not appreciate it as much. Days like today are precious since days like today are so rare when school is in session. Even though we both have to work, California Girl and I can still have fun while the kids are on break. The skies got cloudy as the day went on; but we certainly put a bright sunny morning to good use. Hopefully tomorrow will be another sunny day.

I just wanted to take a minute and wish everyone a Happy Easter. It is a Christian Holiday but I think the timing especially this year when it is so close to the start of spring has a special meaning to almost everyone. The taxman cometh soon for a huge check from us; but otherwise, this is a great time of year. We’ve probably had our last snowfall. The days are getting longer. And we have actually had a few days of (comparative) sunshine.

If you are just starting Spring Break, we wish you a good one. If you are returning home after some fun in the sun, I hope that you had a fabulous time. We hope that the summer will to be the best ever for us. We wish that it will be a good one for you too.

Today is Good Friday, and, unfortunately, like many people, I had to got to work. I also make every effort to come home early. I worked late on Thursday just so I could start the day with a clean slate. And I made sure to work out early in the day. Even so, I was the last person home. Not because it was late when I got home; but because everyone else only had a half day or either didn’t have to go out at all.

I used the time to give The Girl another driving lesson and run a few long delayed errands before settling into a nice weekend at home with the family. Our weekends go best when we get the things we have to do done on Friday or early on Saturday and have the rest of the time to ourselves.

Easter and the corresponding start of spring is always a good time to reflect on the future. The Boy only has few months left in his high school career. And soon, The Girl will be halfway through high school. California Girl and I both have jobs, and while we aren’t doing as well as we would like (who is), we are still doing OK.

We would like to wish everyone a great Easter weekend and hope that the year is getting off to a wonderful start for everyone.

Chickie commented on last week’s HNT post that she’d “laugh too hard for sex if Sweety plopped one of those on his head.” So, we thought it would be fun to put on one of our other hats and make a collage. It’s not as big and floppy as our leprechaun hat so it doesn’t get in the way as much; but it’s still in interesting experience. More often than not, we’re naked sex people; especially around the house. We’re looking forward to the time when we can back get outside. We really like some of the photographs we took last spring. Here is the third and last part of the video that we made a couple of weeks ago. I really wish we had the bandwidth to post them as a single video rather than in pieces. Maybe we’ll have a bigger pipe one of these days. In the meantime, here’s a question for readers/viewers. From a downloading, and playback perspective what do you think is optimum terms of duration (in minutes), resolution (in pixels wide by pixels tall) and size (in megabytes)? We can change any or all of them; but, obviously, if we increase the duration or the resolution it increases the size which, in turn, makes the video take longer do download.
