Game Day
By now you have probably figured out the Monday is usually a game day for girls high school soccer in Ohio. On Saturdays, they may play in the morning, afternoon or evening. But during the week, they always play under the lights. I really like the atmosphere at the games The Girl plays for her school team. All the payers get introduced; they play the national anthem; and they announce who scored over the PA system. Plus many of their classmates come and watch. The clubs the girl plays on in the spring are just as good; but there is a considerable difference between sitting along the sideline in a sports chair with the other parents and sitting in the stands in a stadium surrounded by students. I’m gong to be there either way; but they girls really enjoy it when their classmates (especially the boys) come out and watch them play. It’s just a game; but it’s still nice for them to have fans other than mom and dad. And, unlike in the spring, they print the results in the newspaper. So, if you notice wearen’t posting on a Monday; wish The Girl luck.
