A Weekend Malaise
The kids are doing exactly the same things that they did this time last year; but, for some reason, its feels like California Girl and I barely have weekends. The list of household chores is longer than ever; and we even seem to be having sex less than usual. I’m not sure what’s causing it but I really want for it to be over. I’m going to bed early tonight. Hopefully that will help things.
BTW: I was catching up on blogging on my laptop in the home theater while I watched the football games and noticed that pictures look completely different on the LCD screen compared with the CRT monitor that I normally use. Anyway, I’ve was wondering how the pictures we post look to you all. Should we preview them on a LCD monitor before posting? Are we the last people on the plant to still be using a CRT as their primary display?
P.S. I know that I have been less than responsive than usual answering emails, comments and shouts. I expect that to get better once everything else get back to normal.

Do I have an LCD? It is one of the big, flat screens. Anyway your pictures have always looked fine to me.
They come out perfectly on my flat-screen. Incidentally, I noticed when I was viewed my your blog on my daughter’s CRT that the colours were not as good. Probably her monitor needs calibrating.
Hope your able to get back into your comfortable groove soon.
your pics always look great on my laptop.
I dont really notice the difference on the notebook to the CRT, your pictures look great on both. Hope things return to normal for you soon.
Ms SD
MCB, I am with you there. This weekend was the kickoff to our fall activities and I don’t know where the time went and there is a certain malaise going around. I am open to any idea as well.
Normal? What’s that?
Sometimes things slow down in all areas. Usualy the fall and cooler wheather invigorate us. Still in that brutal heat as of now though. Has CG made any headway in the book? We love the shaved look and are glad you went for it.
Rosie: Yes, a big flat screen is probably an LCD. They show colors differently than the old-style CRTs. I was just wondering how our photographs looked on monitors based upon the newer technologies
Alfie: CRTs tend to wear out as they age and not show colors as well as they did when they were new. I just want to make sure the color adjustments I make to our photographs aren’t making the pictures look worse. Our monitor could have the same problem as your daughter and we wouldn’t notice since it’s what we use the majority of the time.
Kitty: We’re back in the grove now. A phone call from California Girl during the day and Tuesday night really helped.
Ms SD: They look different to us depending on the type of display. Not much; but we know what we look like so we probably wouldn’t notice as much as others. And things are back normal.
Ken Wilson: We have at 2-3 soccer games per week; plus a large cross country meet every weekend from now until the end of the season. We love to watch our children compete; but we’ll be super busy. And sometimes it does take its toll.
AlwaysCurious: For us, normal is being busy; but no so busy that we can’t stop and smell the roses from time to time. We don’t mind being on the go; but not every day, all day.
Carolina Jim and Wife: It looks like the heat wave has finally broken. I’ll ask California Girl about the book. She’s gone to bed. I love the shaved look (and feel) too.
