HNT – 105
I purchased a tripod earlier this week to make it easier to take pictures in inside locations. The light was already fading by the time that we started our photo session so we didn’t have much time experiment with it. We can already think of several things to try now that we have a tripod. We can probably get some interesting close-ups. 
And, it’s probably useful for movies too. Anyway our theme for today is “trying things out”. Here are some more pictures for our abbreviated first session with it. Click on an image to enlarge.

Tripods are great, we need to egt us one as well. Love the pictures
Just a suggestion: You might want to manually set the white balance of your camera. It looks a bit off.

We have a couple of differently sized tripods and find them especially handy
I said it last post and I’ll say it again, I really like the lighting in these shots!

SS: The tripod gives us a lot of flexibility. Now that we’re not limited to a few placements, we just have to figure out where to put it for the best shots. The two ones on the left are my favorites.

SeaRabbit: The look better on a LCD than on the CRT that we usually use. That’s probably one of the reasons that we don’t like them as well as everyone else. We plant to take some new photographs this coming weekend so you shouldn’t have long to wait. Happy HNT.
Him & Her: We’ve been meaning to get one for a while but it ended up being a “round to it” sort of a thing. Glad that you like the shots
Steve: The AWB on our camera doesn’t work well in low light (or bright artificial light for that matter). It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long since we got our current camera but it’s probably time to get a new one.
My Girlfriend Is Hot: Thanks. We may have lighting and/or color balance problems; but our photo sessions are always fun. HHNT to you too.
Jen: We’ve got a smaller one that we use a lot since it’s easy to carry around; but it’s only suitable for placement on top of a table or other flat surface. The best shots are hand-held but I don’t have much fun if I’m not in the picture
Kitty: We hope to have some time to experiment over the three-day weekend. It looks like good pool weather; but there should be time for some inside fun too.
