Two For Tuesday – 95
I mentioned last week in the A Quiz post that I have several photographs of California Girl on my cell phone and asked people to guess which ones they were. I thought it was an easy question; but, nobody ventured a guess, so it must be harder than I thought. Michelle recently asked in a comment if we were you going to end the suspense. The answer is yes. We were originally going to do something different; but we decided that “cell phone pics” would be a good theme for today. These photos were taken with our digital camera and then transferred to the cell phone via its USB connection.
This is my favorite photograph of California Girl of all time. If we had some place private, I would enlarge it and hang it on the wall. It was one of the first pictures I took with our then new digital camera and originally posted in I Love This Photograph.
This is my favorite recent photograph of California Girl. It’s never been posted here but appeared in Dirty Couple in Virginia’s inaugural Tuesday’s Tits for the Troops post.

I love both, but if I had to choose I’d go for the second one - it is so natural. Somehow it illustrates what married life is all about.

I’m torn. I like aspects of each of them. I think overall though, the second one is my favourite.

Hmmm…I really like the lighting in pic #1, and the pose…but I think pic #2 is very cool because it shows her being sexy doing a very normal daily thing.

Well, they are both great pictures! I agree with Michelle, the second is a sexy pic of everyday life. But there is something about the first pic that I love… maybe it’s the “artisic” quality of it. I have to say my fav is the first pic

I tried to work that quiz out but with our dial-up speed it was taking forever to get your pics to load.
I love the lighting of the first pic, but I keep getting drawn back to the second - maybe as others have said it is CG looking incredibly sexy doing something so normal. Then again, it could be that she is the only person I know who dries their hair sitting on the floor

Alfie: It may not seem that way; but the first one is also a candid shot. It was actually taken while California Girl was waiting for me to finish something or other when the camera was set for interval shots.
SS: Even though the first one is my favorite, I like both of them a lot. That’s why they’re both in my cell phone
Michelle: The first photo was pure chance since the camera was taking pictures automatically. So the lighting is serendipitous as well. I think that’s one of the reasons that I like it. The second photo is a candid shot; but I was actually behind the camera.
Jen: You’re right. The first one does seem more “artistic”. That’s probably the reason California Girl and I like it better too. We’re not very creative, so we really like the rare occasions when we do something artistic.
Ms SD: We’ve had broadband for years so this blog is probably not as dial-up friendly as it might be. We both like the first one, bit we do agree that, sometimes, ordinary things make the most extraordinary photographs. BTW: Our house is carpeted throughout so we do a lot of things on the floor.

Do I really have to choose?
It’s a difficult choice because each is outstanding in its own way.
The first is very artistic an striking and I also like it because you can see just a little of California Girl’s face and she looks a knockout.
But the second picture is so natural and, kind of bursting with life and vitality, so much that it would be extremely hard to relegate it to second place.
Either would be fantastic blown up and hung on a wall. (But, hey, a room has more than one wall so there’d be more than enough space to give that treatment to both pictures, right?)
I’m sorry, but with these I’m an equal opportunity viewer and I love ‘em both. God help me, I can’t bring myself to pick one over the other.
All I can say, finally, is great camerawork and great subject. Thank you for sharing both with us.

Larry: The first one is my favorite of all time. Sometimes, it’s better to be lucky rather than good and that was one of those times. I like candid photographs of her just doing everyday stuff better than pictures of her doing “stuff” with me.
