A Good Day To Get In The Pool
Recently, I have not been posting much on Friday; and yesterday was no exception. I may get online; but I usually spend a lot of time on Fridays hanging out with California Girl and the kids. We spent most of yesterday afternoon in the pool. Then while The Girl was at the movies with her friends and The Boy was engrossed in computer games, I helped California Girl make sure she had shaved everywhere appropriately.
Then I retrieved the girls and California Girl and I went out to dinner. But, the best part of the day was getting in the swimming pool. I want to go see The Transformers; but I don’t want to “waste” the sunshine especially after all of the rain that we have been having. We planned to try and see a matinee today; but it’s already after 3 o’clock and the swimming pool beckons. We can see a movie any time; but hanging out in the pool on warm summer days is something special.
We hope everyone is having as wonderful of a Saturday as we are.
P.S. I fixed the link on the previous post to point to the movie we made on Monday. It was accidentally pointing to one we posted last week.

I can’t blame you for wanting to spend time in the pool… the lazy days of summer certainly are far and few between, and never last long enough! And shaving for summer is always nice too, lol
Hope you are having a nice weekend ((((hugs)))
Happy 7/7/07!
I’m jealous. I love spending time at the pool, or the beach, or pretty much anywhere outside during the hot, sunny summer. When I was growing up we had a pool, and I miss it desperately. Hope you enjoyed it.

Jen: We didn’t get as much accomplished over this weekend as we wanted too but we spent HOURS on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the pool. Some things will have to wait until the next time that it rains. California Girl is enjoying being shaved. It’s a lot quicker to use a razor for a few more minutes every day than it is to trim. And she doesn’t have to worry about hair showing if the bottoms of her swimsuit aren’t fitting perfectly.
Michelle: Thanks. I wonder how many people got married today.
SS: You and KD are welcome to stop by if you’re ever in Ohio. We both enjoy it. A lot of people say it’s a lot of work but it’s been almost maintenance free. Today (Sunday) was the third hot day in a row so we’ve been staying in the pool until it’s covered in shadows. I’m going to hate going back to work on Monday.
I spent the weekend in the freezing wind and rain watching my daughter at sport (something I know you do often) while Mr SD was in bed with the flu. It is nice to know someone was enjoying some warm weather and its a nice reminder that summer will be here again eventually.
Lounging around in the pool for a few days sounds like an ideal weekend.

My cousin was supposed to get married on 7/7, but called off the wedding a few weeks before. There was an article in the newspaper about people from our area who got married on that day. The one couple had a “Vegas” themed reception with all sorts of 7/7/7 thingies, looked cool.
Ms SD: Been there done that. At least the weather around here is so cold that we don’t play high school/amateur sports outside in the three coldest months of the year. I’m sure I will be Very envious of your weather in December, January and February.
Michelle: I think I would have avoided the date. Think how hard it’s going to be to get reservations at a nice restaurant fiver years from now when everyone is celebrating their anniversary. I’m sure the weddings themselves are super cool though.
