Where Has The Time Gone?
It was 19 years ago yesterday that California Girl and I got married. We’ve had our ups and downs over the years but our connection with each other is still as strong as it was when first started dating. We’re “responsible” but we still like to go out and have fun. And some things, like going to a nice restaurant with your SO is a timeless pleasure.
California Girl and I went to dinner at a very nice restaurant on Saturday and reminisced about the past 24 years. It’s hard for us to believe that it was that long ago that we met. In some ways it seems like a lifetime ago; in others it seems like yesterday. We have both grown and changed in many ways; but the things that have characterized our relationship are still the same. It hasn’t always been easy; but we would both do it all over again if we still had the chance.
This blog is about the present so we don’t write much about the past. But, sometimes, it’s good to look back and recollect the wonderful times we have shared together.

Wonderful. This inspires me to suggest some HNT themes. Maybe some “back in the day” posts that re-live some of your college days? Just a suggestion.
Love you guys.
Congratulations and happy, happy anniversary. Such stable relationships are becoming a rarity. Marriage needs a good PR man like yourself.
Congrats on the anniversary
Hope the next 19 are just as fun
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, you two are very inspiring.
The Poob Groomer: We do have some posts in the archives that compare us now with Polaroid’s from long ago. If we can, we may visit a campus somewhere and recreate some of our college experiences.
Alfie: Thank you. Even though long term relationships are getting harder and harder to find; but people still want to get married. Having a husband/wife is something that is never going to go out of style. And we’re not good PR people. We’re much to risqué for the mainstream. It keeps us happy but it’s not for everyone.
Hot Husband And Hot Wife: Thanks. My focus is making 20 special for California Girl.
Kitty: Thanks again. We are very glad that you like who we are and what we do. It’s hard to stay married. We have to work at it. Knowing that we are appreciated by others makes having a blog that much more rewarding.
Happy Anniversary you two! May the next 19 years be just as wonderful!
Torn Shorts: Thank You. We just focus on each day; and years have passed very quickly. As we head toward our twentieth anniversary, we don’t think about 20 years so much as 365 individual days from now until then.
Hey you two – happy anniversary! What an incredible length of time to be together in this day and age. Here’s to another 19 years and then some.
Also, I admire the heat of your relationship and that it’s lasted so long. Not every long term couple can say that. Good work.
Saranonymous: One thing that you can say about our relationship is hat we are passionate about it. Sometimes, that is a good thing and sometimes not. When things are good they are really good and when things are bad they are really bad. Fortunately, over the years, the good FAR outweighs the bad. I think that’s why we have been together for so long.
