It Was A Nutty Weekend
We had our first significant snowfall of the season. Strange things happened at the kids athletic events. And I didn’t even watch much football. California Girl and I did manage to give her diaphragm a pretty good workout. But even the way that we did that was unusual. When we got back home on Saturday night, we had to wait until the effects of the huge meal we had eaten for dinner settled and we were able to “go to bed”. I’m sure it’s happened before but I can’t remember a time where that has happened. Then, on Sunday, we both took a long “nap” after we got home and California Girl had to add a couple of applicator-fulls of spermicide. It was after 4:00 p.m. when we finally got up for good and went to the gym to work out. We get back in bed a lot on weekends, but usually not like that. So technically speaking, Sunday was a triple-header day; but both California Girl and I would consider the first time as happening on Saturday night.
So how was your weekend?
P.S. I will be installing the new version of WordPress tonight so please be patient if the upgrade does not go smoothly and the site experiences some downtime.

Sounds like a wonderful relaxing weekend!
Kitty: It was relaxing in the sense that we didn’t really do a lot. But everything was turned around and we had FAR from a “normal” schedule. Usually, our weekends are more structured. This time, we had things to do but not at the typical hours. Even the kids were awake or sleeping at unusual hours. The Girl had an (indoor) soccer game and played out side in the snow but still was in bed before dinner. And The Boy was in or out of bed at strange hours the day. It was good; but it seemed kind of weird.
Emm and I don’t trally know about weekends any more. As we are retired, they just come and go. Half the time we don’t even know what day of the week it is.
Alfie: That must be nice. Around here it’s hard to forget when you have you take the kids to school (and practice) every day.
