I had posted an HNT before I read your blog but deleted it. Your tribute is really moving. There is a sense of community here of which I had no idea.

Ms SD: It’s strange how we can become so attached to people that we have never met in real life. The internet in general and blogging in particular is truly a community.
Alfie: I guess you could have just changed the post to a draft and saved it for later. I didn’t become involved in blogging until a few years ago and I have been amazed at some of the bonds of friendship that form across the internet. The traditional media do not understand the power of the internet but regular people do.

I don’t have a blog but truly enjoy reading the few that I read. Of course you - MCB and CG are my favorites out there. You both come across as so genuine and committed to each other and to your children - as Bruce Springsteen would say - You have found the keys to the Universe - !!!! I read the tribute to your friend Betcha and I was so moved. Many have no comprehension that you grow to care so much about people you have never met, probably will never meet, but know so much from their blogs. I felt sad and I had never read her blog. Has her blog been totally taken down or is it still up as I am sure lots of people would want to read her blog. Life is so fragile - cliches are so true - I guess that is why they are said over and over again. Literally every single day my husband and I thank God for having each other and being alive. Can you imagine 10 years ago anyone thinking of communities of bloggers and people who read their blogs would feel such connections to people they found on the internet and feel like they are friends. So many people think of everything on the internet as people tryiing to meet the opposite sex to make a connection and actually I think it is much more just people connecting with each other in friendship. Wishing you all the best in 2007 !!!!!!!
I remain Your Interested Reader

Interested Reader: Her blog is still up (or at least it was yesterday). It was called Party in a Ponytail.
Life is short and unpredictable. We have to make the most of today because you never know what tomorrow may bring. And sadly, for Betcha there will not be any more tomorrows.
Edit:And to be clear, tribute was Osbasso’s, not mine.
