For as long as we’ve know each other, we’ve never let California Girl’s periods slow us down. She’s on her period now but that just means we do things a bit differently. In fact, we posted recently that we have used the same towels to protect the bed during sex when California Girl is on her period for nearly 24 years. So, we though that it would be fitting to feature them in a post. Despite being “used” once a month for a long time, the towels are still in amazingly good shape and they were old when we first met. The pictures are not gross/graphic but they do show us putting the towels to use. In case you were wondering, the brown one was originally California Girl’s and the gray one was originally mine.

Today is ask MCB/CG day; and, for once, I am actually posting this in a timely manner. We try and do this once a month for any new readers, and, since I just asked a question in the previous post, it seemed very appropriate. This is the eighteenth time that we have done this; so we don’t expect everyone to have read all of the earlier questions. It’s usually been pretty fun. Here are the rules for any new visitors. Feel free to ask us anything. You can ask a question in a comment or in the Shoutbox. We’ll respond in the comments or, if the answer is long, in a separate post. We will answer anything that is asked, usually before our next post. If you don’t read this when its first posted but still have a question, go ahead and ask it. There isn’t a cutoff date. So please leave us a question if you’ve got one.

I know that this is completely unscientific but, after yesterday’s post, I was wondering how the ladies out there in blogland trim their pubic hair. Do you keep it full and natural? Very short to non-existent? Or somewhere in between? As you can tell from our photographs, California Girl is in the short to non-existent category. Kind of like the hair on my head so I guess that makes us a matched set.

I know that we guys have it easy but I have always appreciated girls that look/smell/feel like girls. I’ve also though that it was interesting that we spend so much time grooming areas that most of the world never sees (unless you let it all hang out on your blog). For some reason, it seems a bit naughty the way we prep ourselves for after-hours encounters. And, in my opinion, naughty is good.

For the second week in a row, California Girl and I have had a quiet Sunday. The Girl had an indoor soccer game (a goal and an assist) that we had to go to; but, otherwise, or day was completely free. We would probably get bored if every week was like this; but it’s good to relax after being so busy over past weekends. The only “chore” for the day is to download some songs from iTunes for The Girl. I’ve also done a couple of “projects” as California Girl calls them, fixing things behind the scenes with the WordPress software that powers our blog.

California Girl is on her period so we just keep the towels next to the bed for rapid deployment. That’s more convenient than her having to retrieve her diaphragm. And, even though we are accustomed to the diaphragm, it’s still a treat to not have an “intermission”. We’ve been using the same pair of towels for the same thing for almost 24 years. They probably are the only things from olden times that aren’t put away in a box for safekeeping. Of course they would be a strange memento.

Twenty-Four years. It’s hard to believe that we’ve know each other that long. We still do many of the same things that we have done since our early years together, so, if it wasn’t for the children growing up, we wouldn’t notice the passing of time. And both of us weight almost exactly the same as we did in college. I didn’t have very much hair even back then so bout the only difference is that California Girl keeps her pubic hair trimmed much more closely today. She never was bushy as was common during the 60s/70s; but nowadays she does keep it closely groomed.

Other than being bitter cold (check out the current weather conditions in the sidebar) today has been an ordinary day. We’ve just hung out and enjoyed it. We didn’t do anything exciting; but, sometimes, those are the best kind of days. We hope everyone is having as great of a day as we are.

When we were putting away our luggage from the trip we made a couple of weekends ago, California Girl found a dress that she had misplaced the last time we traveled with that particular bag. And, on Monday, I found the shirt and shorts that The Boy had borrowed and never returned. (Things like that happen when you wear the same size clothing as your kids.) So, our theme for today is “lost and found”. California Girl’s recently rediscovered dress is short black and extremely sexy. It almost makes up for the boring dry-fit running shirt I am wearing. (It’s been cold and icy/snowy outside so I’ve been running on the treadmill which is why I was looking for warm weather workout clothing.) I don’t go to the gym without any shorts on but California Girl does sometimes wear her dresses Britney Spears style. She’s not truly half-nekkid but it’s still a lot of fun. Happy HNT everyone.

We did not realize it until we had already selected (and edited) the pictures; but our photos for today are almost an exact repeat of the ones in HNT - 73 except we are completely nekkid. We never think as sex as boring but, like everyone else, we do the same things sometime. We’ve had a lot of sex since last Tuesday so we didn’t realize that the photographs were a “rerun” right away. Of course, the great thing about sex is that a rerun is just as good as the premiere. And, in case you are wondering, Our pictures for Thursday are “first run”. Happy Wednesday everyone.

BTW: The new version of WordPress rocks. We haven’t encountered any problems with it and hope that everything is working for you two.

The Boy got sick after school on Monday and was too sick to join us for dinner. Since we almost always eat together, especially when we are at home, California Girl, The Girl and I were struck by how strange the dinning room appeared with only three of the four places occupied. We all knew he was just upstairs, and that him being too sick to eat was a rare occurrence; but it made us think about what life would be like after he goes away to school. The days that we though would last forever are almost over. And none of us are ready for them.

We had our first significant snowfall of the season. Strange things happened at the kids athletic events. And I didn’t even watch much football. California Girl and I did manage to give her diaphragm a pretty good workout. But even the way that we did that was unusual. When we got back home on Saturday night, we had to wait until the effects of the huge meal we had eaten for dinner settled and we were able to “go to bed”. I’m sure it’s happened before but I can’t remember a time where that has happened. Then, on Sunday, we both took a long “nap” after we got home and California Girl had to add a couple of applicator-fulls of spermicide. It was after 4:00 p.m. when we finally got up for good and went to the gym to work out. We get back in bed a lot on weekends, but usually not like that. So technically speaking, Sunday was a triple-header day; but both California Girl and I would consider the first time as happening on Saturday night.

We declared victory earlier in the week on a project I am working on, so we left the office early today and went to a nearby bar to celebrate. And as we were talking about random stuff, it struck me how different California Girl and I are. The kids have a lot of activities that keep us on the run; but when we don’t have anyplace else to be, we like spending time with each other. We’d much rather have a night out together than a guy’s night or a girl’s night out. For some of the people it seems almost as if they dreaded going home.

The thing that struck me most of all was how unfamiliar they were with places to go; from sit-down restaurants to trendy (at least for this area) nightclubs. It made me wonder what if anything they do for fun. I like the energy of clubs so we probably go to them more than some other couples. But I thought enjoying a good meal at a nice restaurant was almost a universal ritual of dating. Even after a long day in the stands at one of the children’s activities, California Girl and I will often come home, change into something nice and at least go out for a late dinner. We do a lot for and with the kids; but we have our own lives too.

When I am finished with this post, I’m going to go upstairs, shave and make plans for the night. Even though we have to be up very early tomorrow (to take the kids somewhere), I don’t intend to let that spoil our evening. We know that we are and will continue to be mom and dad; but we try not to let that prevent us from being husband and wife too.

We are back doing HNT after a one week moratorium. At first, we thought that we would do something serious; but the new decided that it would be better to do something in the same spirit as always. And although things will never seem quite the same, life does go on. So, our theme for today is “still the same spirit”. We tired to pick a photo that is typical of many that we have done for HNT. It’s NC-17 but not too X-rated. Kind of like us. I’m complete nekkid but California Girl is half-dressed so technically, this is a three-quarter nekkid Thursday photograph.

And, of course, there is the gratuitous blow job picture. How could HNT at Married in Ohio be complete without one of those?
