Broke the bed during our HNT photo session “after party”. We finished up on the floor. Until it happened to us, I thought beds breaking during sex was a myth.

Purchased a new digital camera. Like many people, our first test photographs were naked pictures of ourselves.

Had pictures stolen and posted without permission on one of those “hater” web sites that doesn’t do anything except make fun of others. Posted a bottomless picture of California Girl just to thumb our noses of them.

Spring was a time for the family.
Started the month very busy but satisfied.
Ended the month with one of those rare days that doesn’t happen too often.

Posted one of our all time favorite Two For Tuesday photographs.

Went on the best family vacation ever with the kids and California Girl.

The Girl had a party to remember for her birthday.

Heard The Girl introduced for the first time for her high school soccer team.

Experienced the busiest week of the season supporting the kids at their sports competitions.

Made a new video after a long hiatus.

Had a great discussion about kids and computers but failed in our attempt to get the kids laptops on Black Friday.

Compared Midwestern City Boy’s equipment to a can of shaving gel.
Continued our Christmas vacation sex tradition.

In times gone by I would get down on the floor and show The Boy some new wrestling moves to try out in practice or his next match. Now when we get down on the carpet, he is he one showing me moves. And he hits them much to well for me to counter. I don’t feel old but I’m still adjusting to the fact that I can’t compete with him any more. And not just in wrestling. In addition to being a better wrestler even though I outweigh him, he runs faster than I do too. And not only does he run faster than me now, but he runs faster than I ever did, even when I was young.

And, with his recent victories, The Boy has now won more wresting matches this year than he did all of last year. And that is despite the schedule being much more difficult. (It’s “easier” to get more victories when you advance further in tournaments.) I am amazed as I sit in the stands and watch him handle opponents who he would have lost to last year. He’s making quite a few highlights for the family photo album. And, he’s on the honor roll too. Now if I could just get him to clean up his room.

Osbasso requested that everyone pick go back through their own archives and choose their favorite HNT of 2006. Even though it featured some half full-nekkidness, my favorite photograph of the year wasn’t for HNT (or Two for Tuesday) but we decided to follow the rules and pick only from our HNT posts. There was actually a tie between two posts for our favorite HNT photograph. The two pictures are very different which made it hard to choose.

We liked our Fourth of July fireworks HNT photograph from HNT - 46. We combined several photographs into one for a double fireworks effect using Paint Shop Pro to create the picture.

And we also liked our silhouette HNT photograph from HNT - 69. We turned off everything but the fireplace and the Christmas tree lights and used no special features of our camera or photo editing software to create the picture.

Both our favorites have a holiday theme. Which one do you like?

Is it Wednesday already? One of the great things about being on vacation is that all the days are the same. You don’t have to wake up and go to work. As a result, Tuesday kind of snuck up on us and we didn’t get around to our usual Tuesday post until now. All in all it has been a pretty leisurely vacation for us. Of course, for us, sex is one of our favorite leisure time activities, and this vacation is no different. Anyway our theme for today is “lost track of time.” It should give you a pretty good idea what we do in our spare time when we are on vacation.

We hope Santa was good to everyone.

Our vacation is moving way too fast. It seemed like Christmas weekend was here before we blinked. And the New Year is just a few days away. Santa was good to the kids; especially The Girl. The Boy got way too many Xbox and computer games but he’s really into first-person shoot-em-ups and fantasy role playing games. That seems to be a strange combination to me but it’s what he likes. And The Girl got the coveted iPod Nano. I just wish we were as good with other things as we are picking out Christmas presents.

My dad gave us one of his “not in my house” speeches. Apparently, he didn’t like us wearing our Santa hats. We like to wear them places around Christmas time. (Part of that corny we like to match thing that we do.) I didn’t mind taking them off if it bothered him; but I could certainly do without the “it’s my house and I’ll make the rules” speech. It would be nice if he could interact with California Girl and me like adults and not subjects in his realm. We’ve got our own house too. And it’s more than suitable to spend the holiday there if we’re not welcome in his. I keep the peace for my mom’s sake but sometimes it’s hard.

We would like to thank everyone who left us comments or sent us emails wishing us a merry Christmas. Your good wishes are very much appreciated. The holiday season is a time to reflect on some of our traditions, and collaborating on this blog has become one of our favorites. Our Tuesday photo sessions always seem to raise our spirits if we are having a bad week. And the posts remind us of something cheerful when we are having a bad day. The pictures are a lot of fun but it is the words that resonate with us. We look forward to sharing more good times in the years ahead.

As I sit here in the study with a fireplace going in the background and a Christmas tree full of presents in the family room I can’t help but think back to olden times when our Christmas decorations consisted of a single strand of lights taped to the wall, a couple of plastic wreaths and two scented candles that we got at the discount store. California Girl and I each only had one small gift for each other. We have certainly come along way since then. We’ve gone from just the two of us to a family of four. And not just any family of four, but a family we only dreamed about that cold December day long ago.

I’m amazed by how close that the children are and many things that we do together. Everyone always told us that that The Boy and The Girl would start quarrelling with each other and not be friends when they got to be teenagers. Or that they would not want anything to do with us once they got into high school. But we spend as much time together as we always have. If anything, these days are more precious because we know they aren’t going to last forever. The Boy and The Girl are out doing some last minute shopping with my mom. When they return we will wrap the last of the Christmas presents and spend the evening watching videos in the home theater just like old times.

And tomorrow, there will be the excitement that can only come from kids on Christmas morning. Some years we have a lot of presents and some years we have not too many; but the mood is always the same. I would not want to be anyplace else except here with California Girl, The Boy and The Girl. I wish I cold bottle the feeling of the day so that I could keep it forever. They say Christmas is for children but I think they have it wrong. I think Christmas is for parents. California Girl and I will remember and cherish these times with the children forever. And we’ll think back upon this time fondly when they will have families of their own and can’t all be together anymore.

In the days of Rocky VI it seems only fitting that we revisit one of our favorite Christmas traditions. Since our first Christmas here in our home California Girl and I have taken pictures of ourselves having sex under the Christmas tree. We took the photographs for 2006 two weeks ago while the children were at one of there Christmas activities, but we’ve been so busy with preparing for the holiday that I have not had time to post hem until now. We used a couple of photographs from this session for our Christmas Tree HNT so we aren’t repeating them here. And, although it was not our aim, we think that they are different enough from last year to be interesting.

We used our “new” camera so the set up was a little different than last year. (The infrared sensor in this one works better so we made more use of the remote control.) Some of the photographs are slightly cut off since we only framed the area once before we got started. And although they doesn’t show up very well because of the camera flash, the Christmas lights were on and the fireplace was lit. We love the ambience of a twinkling Christmas tree with a fire going in the fireplace. We hope you enjoy sharing one of our favorite holiday traditions with us.

Canadian Lurker mentioned in the comments to our Two For Tuesday - 65 post “I have been lurking for 8 months and I’m dying to finally know… just how big is that penis? You always tease us, but really though, get the measuring tape out and show us!” Longtime readers may recall when I mentioned in item #13 of my 25 Sexual Things About Us post that “when fully inflated, my dick is about the size of a can of Edge shaving gel”. This has usually been the analogy I used when talking about the size of my dick. Sometimes the comparison has had very humorous results. In the comments to my How Big Is Your Little John? Post I related the following anecdote.

I worked with this woman who was “curious” about the equipment. She had a hard time visualizing, so, finally, I told her “about the same size and a can of shaving cream. Not the short fat ones; but the taller, thinner ones like Edge [shaving gel] comes in.” She said “I’ll look the next time I’m at the store.” And we started discussing something else. Apparently, she checked that evening because she came into my office the next day about 8:15 with an “offer” for me. She was at least 10 years younger than me so I was flattered but still politely declined.

Apparently “about the same size as a 7oz can of Edge shaving gel” is not quantitative enough for Canadian Lurker. I’ve never been terribly concerned about the size of my dick but since, California Girl and I are on vacation, we though it would be fun to have a measuring session. We don’t need an excuse for sex but I did seem like a fun way to spend the morning before we headed out to the stores for some CHristmas shopping.

I didn’t have any 7oz cans of shaving gel so we used a 9.3oz can instead. It’s a little bit longer but it should still give a pretty good idea of scale.

Pretty Peanut: I would give you and NSN a universal translator so that you could better understand one another. I admire so many things about your relationship. It’s hard to see you two so frustrated when you don’t understand each other; especially since you are both trying so hard. Many couples give up or just go through the motions rather than try to work things out. You are doing the hard thing (trying to communicate) which will be much better in the long run. I just wish I could make it easier for you today.

Mr. and Ms. SD: I would give you a vacation to the United States so that you could meet some of the people who you have a struck up a friendship with. The ‘net has made the world a much smaller place but friends still thrive on face to face interaction. And perhaps you could satisfy one of your fantasies.
