An Energizer Bunny Weekend
It’s one o’clock on a Saturday on a gray November day but, to me, the day seems as good as the glorious days we had during the summer. After working like an animal for what seemed like ages I only worked a half day on Friday. And, in an unexpected stroke of good luck the temperature was near 70-degrees outside. So California Girl and I were able to go for a run in the park in t-shirts and shorts. Afterward, we came home and spent the rest of the afternoon in bed. Even though I wasn’t fully recovered form all of the long days, I feasted on her like a castaway who had just come back to civilization. It’s been a quite a while since we had that much uninterrupted time together and we certainly made the mist of it. We didn’t get out of bed almost 6:00 and it was time to go pick up the boy after wrestling practice. And, after a good night of sleep which has also been a rare occurrence recently, we took up where we left off this morning. It’s a good thing that California Girl has a new diaphragm because we’ll need maximum protection this weekend. My batteries aren’t yet fully recharged but this weekend is looking like an Energizer bunny weekend.

Great to read that you got to spend some time together, I know that isnt always easy to do. At least whatever time you do get to spend together always seems to be quality time. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Recharge batteries sounds great. The weather – wonderful. Last bit of Indian Summer, now gone, but leaving happy memories.
Ms SD: Its only Monday and the weekend seems like ages ago. It was great, especially Saturday. But I, at least for today, the gray days outside seem to have caught up with me.
Rosie: Friday was fabulous and the memories were good. But I want for days like that to return. I’m already back wearing my cold weather gear.
