Married In Ohio

I have often mentioned that I like the way that California Girl’s back looks. I think she has a nice figure from the rear … well, actually, from all sides; but I like the rear view. She’s trim but not overly so. And she can really put her muscles to good use. Anyway, I thought it would be good to post a couple of pictures of California Girl’s back before the tan line from her summer tops fade. I hope you enjoy California Girl’s sexy back.

California Girl’s wrist watch is broken. I know it’s just a thing but we’ve had matching watches for so long that it’s almost like seeing her without one of her more significant pieces of jewelry like her wedding ring. I looked all over town and couldn’t find a battery the right size. It may just be the battery, but I can’t tell until a new one arrives. A lot of people probably think that we have to many his and hers items; but we like it that way. After all, isn’t a relationship his and hers? Discovering that California Girl’s watch was broken was not the way I wanted to start the week. Especially since it’s the beginning of Eastern Standard Time; and, I always have a hard time adjusting to the time change. I really hope that this week goes by quickly.

I know it seems like ages since we last posted. We are alive and well in Married In Ohio land. In fact, we are concluding a very good Halloween weekend. And, despite my having to work some, things finally seem to be slowing down for us. We only used the diaphragm once since California Girl is about to start her period and we didn’t need it the other times.

We slept in late on Saturday for the first time since August. Although it was very welcome, it seemed weird not getting up and going to watch the boy run. The Girl had something to do, but there were other adult chaperones and it wasn’t a spectator sport; so California Girl and I spent a rather quiet Saturday morning. It wasn’t quiet in the literal sense.

Around here, the big Halloween parties are always on Saturday night before Halloween. And, at least for the past few years, that has also been the Saturday that we return to Eastern Standard Time; so we get an extra hour to party. As we always do, California Girl and I got dressed in our costumes and went out. It was cold and windy but that did not discourge us from dressing up. I could really feel the wind underneath my tunic. California Girl’s dress was longer but the wind still got in through slits at the leg.

We always enjoy seeing the outfits people put together. Like us many of the other revelers put on their costumes and braved the cold. I am always amazed buy how skimpy some of the outfits are for late October in Ohio. I think that it’s good that people come out to have a good time and don’t let the cold bother them; but, I’m still impressed with some of the costumes people chose given the weather. Especially given that everyone not dressed up was bundled up in their winter coat.

I wonder what the Ancient Greeks wore under their tunics and dresses. Both California Girl and I went commando. She to prevent showing any panty lines, and me because “tighty whiteys” are not in the spirit of my costume. I didn’t get arrested for indecent exposure but I could probably use some lessons in how to sit without exposing myself. I will say the combination might have been more interesting if it had been warmer.

I really like the way that California Girl can have a good time. Se didn’t let the cold bother her, and wasn’t preoccupied with the fact that she was naked underneath her dress. It’s no fun to dress up if your date for the evening is engrossed with staying warm or self conscious about her outfit. We went several places and hung out, looking at other peoples costumes, being the perfect Ancient Greek couple. And, when we were done people watching, we went to club we both like to finish the evening. I really wish there were more days (nights) like yesterday.

We were already planning on a Halloween themed HNT post when Os made it official and requested that everyone do a Halloween theme. Halloween is always a fun holiday for us since we always dress in costume and go to some interesting parties. We’re a ways a (semi) matched set. This year, California Girl is Ancient Greek lady and I am an Ancient Greek soldier. I could not find my sword, but, if you look closely, you can see my spear. I asked this question last year and got some great responses so I’ll pose it again now. Do you think that California Girl and I wearing matching costumes is too corny? Do you and your SO coordinate or dress individually when you go to themed parties?

Someone suggested in the comments to A Change Of Seasons that we feature California Girl’s new diaphragm in an upcoming Two for Tuesday post. We had originally planned to do something different today but decided that the theme we had in mind would be better suited for Half Nekkid Thursday. So, our theme for today is “out with the old, in with the new”. For now, we are keeping both devices; but we only plan to use the old one as a backup, or in situations where it would be likely to get dirty. I didn’t realize the old one was so discolored until I saw them side by side. I guess you could say that it has been “well used”. Hopefully, the new one will spend just as much time out of its box.

A couple of these pictures are darker than usual; but we didn’t have a retake since we like to “use” the diaphragm once it is ready. We hope everyone enjoys the introduction to our old and new friends. I certainly enjoyed making their acquaintance.

I want to apologize for not commenting on anyone’s blog that is hosted on Blogger recently. I couldn’t red or post comments when I was on-line on Saturday night. And last night (Monday), I could read posts but the when I tried to open the comment form Internet Explorer’s flag waved forever and the page would not load. It’s frustrating; especially since there were posts that I wanted to comment on. Comments were probably working later in the evening; but I did not have the opportunity to check back.

I think California Girl and I have done a pretty good job of keeping marriedinohio.com running. It’s more work to have your own domain; but, not surprisingly, we do not have very many outages. And, when they do occur, the system administrator is usually quite helpful; probably because of the special “payment” terms he has negotiated with California Girl.

Anyway, it seems that Blogger is working today. So I am going to get our Two For Tuesday post ready, and make some belated comments. I hope that it doesn’t happen again but, knowing Blogger, I am pretty sure it will.

California Girl wore a bra for a few hours today. I see her in one so rarely that that it took me a moment to figure out what was different. She has been going braless for almost as long as I have know her so it always a bit weird when she wears one. California Girl is not self conscious about her body so “coverage” has never been an issue for her. And, to be honest, I like the braless look. So, I am glad that she indulges me. The “easy access” is quite nice around the house (and in other places).

That’s one of the great things about California Girl. She hasn’t changed much since our college days. She hasn’t let being a mom interfere with the fact that she’s also a wife/lover. Sometimes, it almost seems like we are back in college. Just as we have fun with our blog by doing things like HNT, we also do things in real life because they are fun things to do. California Girl is a cool person just to hang out with. I just don’t get the opportunity to spend as much time with her as I would like.

We took California Girl’s new diaphragm for a test drive this morning. I can’t tell the difference but she says it feels more flexible. I just hope it works as well as the last one. It’s the same kind; but you never know. It took a few days because the pharmacy had to order it. I’ve always though that it was weird that you need a prescription for a diaphragm but not for most other non-hormonal methods of birth control. Especially for as often as such things are used.

The Boy had his final cross country meet of the season today. He just missed advancing to the regional tournament. I think he did very well considering that cross country is his “second sport”. The Girl has also had her last soccer game so the fall sports season is over for both kids. I have been impressed by how hard they have worked at their respective sports. I don’t know how much is natural talent and how much is hard work. It’s getting cold outside so I’m glad they’re moving to inside activities; but I will miss intensity at which they train and compete in their outdoor sports.

For what seems like the first time in what seems like ages, California Girl and I have a chance to go out to a club on Saturday night. It’s been so long I’m not even sure I’ll remember what to do. A lot has been going on in real life recently so I will be glad for the opportunity to forget about life for a while. We haven’t been posting as frequently as we typically do for that reason. I know I will be very glad when life gets back to “normal”. Have a great weekend everyone.

I celebrated my birthday this past weekend. It was a good day. That means a good meal at my favorite restaurant and lots of sex beforehand and afterwards. And ever since our first days together, California Girl has always tried to do something to make my birthday special. To commemorate the day, we though we feature one of my “birthday parties” in our HNT post. So the theme for today is “happy birthday Midwestern City Boy”. California Girl and I have both had birthdays since we started participating in Half Nekkid Thursday but this is our first birthday theme.

The kids both have to be to school early on Wednesday so our photo session for this week was a bit rushed. We weren’t in such a big hurry that there was no time for any “adult time”; but we didn’t have as much time afterwards as we would have liked. Still, we have been participating in HNT for over a year and are still having our “after parties”. And long or short, they are always as good. Anyway, since it seems like the story of our life recently, the theme for today is “in a hurry”. California Girl and I both really enjoy our break from the hectic pace we have been on.In case you are wondering, we weren’t in a hurry when we were doing the activities pictured below.

And, amazingly, I’m posting this before midnight. As busy as we have been, that’s quite an accomplishment. We always have our photo session on Tuesday. It’s getting the pictures posed that sometimes usually lags behind. But, at least we have our priorities in order.
