A Great Weekend
California Girl and I had a great weekend. The children are doing well at school. The Ohio State University won their football game on Saturday night; and The Cincinnati Bengals won their football game on Sunday afternoon. Plus Sunday was a rare day with nothing to do. We didn’t leave the house until almost 5:00 in the afternoon when we went up to the park to go running. About the only thing that we didn’t do that we would have liked to was get into the pool. And that was because we stayed in bed so late into the afternoon that there wasn’t enough time to warm up the pool. Of course that had its advantages as well.
California Girl was so worn out afterwards that she was too tired to get out of bed. I though that she looked cute while she was sleeping so I took a picture of her when I finally got out of bed myself. I wish we had more days like this.

We’ve had a lot to of things to do recently, especially on weekends, so a restful Sunday was a very special treat. Days like today really help us recharge our batteries and face the demands of the coming week.

CG looks so beautiful and peaceful I am surprised you could get up and leave her there. Those lazy Sunday days are just the best.
Ms SD
How I wish hubs and I could have days like those! It’s so hard with the youngest……but I know in a few years we’ll be able to enjoy them also!
now how can you resist the urge to run up and smack that?
What a sweet picture. You did get back in the bed an spoon her, right?
Ms SD: I lay in bed for quite some time too. But I did feel like moving before she did. I don’t know when we’ll get another Sunday like that. I just know it probably won’t be this next one.
Bathtime Gal: It’s harder to get time to yourselves with older kids because they are into so many things. Nowadays, The Girl practices soccer every day, even when the weather is bad. When she was younger it was only a couple of times a week.
Exile: That wouldn’t have been nice; especially since she was resting.
Chickie: I had just gotten up, and although I did feel the urge to get back into bed I didn’t.
