Never Too Hot
The temperature is supposed to be in the 90s for the next few days. Where was the heat when we were on vacation and it most days were too cold to get in the pool? Now, we don’t even have to turn on the heater. We just put on our swim suits and get in. There is no such thing as too hot if you’ve got a pool. Here is one of my favorite songs for weather like this.
I will say that running (if you can call it that) I this weather is “interesting”. I always run outside in the summertime, evening if it’s roasting hot. I did see a few other runners on the path so I wasn’t the only one out.
Life has been pretty hectic lately but I love the “dog days” of July and August. They are part of what makes the summer great. Right now it doesn’t look like the hot weather is going to last until the weekend; but I’m cautiously optimistic. I know everyone doesn’t like hot temperatures as much as we do but I hope everyone is enjoying their summer anyway.

Our high was 105 today. I will GLADLY trade with you. This is ludicrous. And to those who think Texas has a dry heat…um…NO. It’s EXTREMELY humid.
Ewww.
You realize I am putting up with this heat just for you. So you can enjoy the pool, which I think of as I run from the cool house to the hot car.
But it does make me happy that you are enjoying – but wait there are thunderstorms coming. Darn
YOu must be finally getting our weather? After two weeks of 100 degrees today cooled down to a cool 85 high! I wore a coat!
Enjoy the weather in every way you can! Summer always seem so short?
it’s been in the 100′s here too. I don’t know why I even bother blow drying my hair to get ready for work, it’s usually drenched by the time I get from the cool house to the hot car, the drive to work, then the trek across the hot asphault to the front door of work… UCK… In less than 2 weeks I’ll be living in my own place with a pool. Yea!!
Our average temperature this week has been 10 Deg C with rain which I think equates to about 50. I would gladly swap with you.
Ms SD
Is it hard to motivate yourself to get out and run in the summer?
Bex: Around here, it’s never to warm to get into the pool. We could spend hours in the pool; even on the hottest days. All I need is a waterproof laptop and permission to telecommute and I’d be set.
Rosie: Your patient is greatly appreciated. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on the way that you look at it cooler temperatures are around the corner. We keep both our cars in the shade of the garage so they aren’t too hot. Our grass needs the rain but I’d rather water it and have sunny days.
Kelly: I can’t believe that it is July already. It seems that summer just started and its half over. You can send 100-degree days our way anytime.
Jessica: When we were in Florida last month California Girl just towel dried her hair and let the weather do the rest. Pools absolutely rock. Then you can really enjoy the sun.
Ms SD: 10-degrees is not bad for winter. Six months from now we’ll be in the minus 20s and thinking longingly of the hot July weather. We go from on extreme to another over the course of the year. The weather around her certainly has “personality”.
Chickie: No, I just look at the picture from when I was big and fat I have hanging up on the wall at work and it s enough to send me running to the locker room.
